A British man has died in Thailand after a collision between a motorcycle and a lorry in the northern city of Chiang Mai. The 26-year-old from Essex was riding the motorcycle involved in the incident, but it is not known what caused the crash. He passed away at the scene before emergency services arrive, local news report.

The man, whom MailOnline is choosing not to name, had been living and working in Thailand as an English teacher since 2015.
According to his Facebook, the man studied criminology and worked as a bartender and fashion sales assistant before moving to Thailand. The British Embassy in Thailand is reportedly providing assistance to the 26-year-old's family.
MailOnline has approached the Foreign Office for comment.
