BANGKOK, 13th February 2018 (NNT) - The Cabinet meeting on Tuesday approved a 10% rise for justice officers and allowed provincial administrations to look after historic sites and antiquities in their areas.
Government Spokesman Lt.Gen.Sansern Kaewkamnerd said later that the Cabinet's resolution allows provincial administrative organizations to manage historic sites at a local level. They are also authorized to register historic sites which have not previously been registered with the government, and collect admission fees to develop their surroundings. However, the Fine Arts Department still has the power to supervise the management of all historic sites.
The Cabinet also gave a green light to a 10% increase in the salaries of public prosecutors and officers of the Administrative Court, Courts of Justice, the Constitutional Court and independent organizations, with retroactive effect from 1st December 2014.
