The corpse of an elderly woman was found buried in a remote area in Soi Udomsuk 26 in Bangkok’s Bang Na district on Tuesday (Sept 12), police said.

The police said the corpse was found by villagers in a nearby community while they were digging a hole to bury their dead dog. They informed Bang Na police of the finding.

The police brought the son of the woman for questioning. The man said the corpse was of his mother who died of old age on July 25 and it was he who buried the body at the end of Soi Udomsuk 26 near where he lives.

He said his mother was blind and had not been able to walk for a long time.

A forensic examination of the body initially revealed no trace of the woman being hurt. No blood stains were found. A further examination is needed to establish the cause of the death.
