    British drowned at Ko Samet

A 60-year-old British tourist was drowned after he drank liquor and went to swimming at Ao Putra on Ko Samet yesterday.

He was identified as Mr Graham Charles from Nottingham, UK.

Ban Phae district police in Rayong province said they were alerted of the incident by Sawangporn rescue team at Ban Phae at 6 pm after sending the victim to Rayong hospital to perform CPR to save his life.

    But he died shortly afterwards.

The tourist came with a group of friends from Pattaya to Ko Samet.

They had drinks on Ao Thab Tim bay from 11 am until 3 pm.

But only Mr Graham Charles was drunk and went into the sea to swim.

He went missing in the sea, prompting friends to call beach rescue to help search.

He was picked up from the sea and sent to hospital where he was pronounced dead after attempt from CPR failed to save his life.

One wonders why they didn't do CPR at the scene.

Then one realises he was probably already brown bread.

Err, and the evidence supporting the contention that he drowned because he was intoxicated is?

Seizure, pulmonary embolism, heart attack, stroke, asphyxia caused by temporary paralysis are of course all possibilities but in chickenhead world he of course died because " he falang, he die because he drink beer and mus be mow".
