The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) says toll fees on 11 expressways will be exempted on December 11 from 9 am - 11 pm.
The exemption of tolls is aimed at facilitating participants to the “Bike for Dad” to travel and join the activities conveniently.
The expressways where tolls are exempted are at the following toll gates, namely Yomaraj, Hua Lampong, Saphan Sawang, Urupong, Surawong, Thanon Chan, Sathorn, Rama IV-1, Rama IV-2, Sukhumvit and Phetchaburi.
EXAT also asks motorists to follow the traffic rules strictly for safety while driving on these expressways.
EXAT states that the toll exemption will enable BIKE FOR DAD cyclists to enjoy the historic event.
Participants to the historic biking event across the country has exceeded 600,000.
Security at the activities is tightened to maximum with the Royal Thai Police mobilising more than 31,000 police personnel to provide top security for 99,999 participants in the capital along the 29 kilometre route.
The activity is organised as a tribute to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 88th birthday anniversary.
