Thai Woman Murdered in Soi Beokeow.

A case of suspected murder now from Central Pattaya. Pattaya Police were called to building number 111/84-85 in Soi Beokeow after reports that a body had been discovered on the Fifth Floor had been received. Police arrived and inspected the body of Khun Antisar aged 28 who had remained undiscovered for at least 2 days. A plastic bag had been taped over her head and the room showed evidence of a violent struggle. Neighbors mentioned seeing the victim at around 8pm on 19th but not since then. No other signs of visible trauma were found. Police are now investigating any possible motives behind this apparent murder but currently have few clues as to the identity of the killer.

That just pertains to farang I think, but is a better indication if the wrists are fixed in back with tape also.

Suspect arrested in connection with Songkran Murder case.
At 3.30 on Tuesday Afternoon, Police Major General Somdaert, Deputy Commander of Region 2 Police led this press conference which announced the arrest of a suspected murderer. The case dates back to 21st April when we reported on a gruesome murder of a 28 year old woman, Khun Antisar. A plastic bag had been placed over her head and the post mortem results confirmed she died from asphyxiation. Khun Amnat aged 19 was arrested on Monday Night and accused of the murder. He revealed that he was in a relationship with the victim who was also seeing other men. This angered Khun Amnat who has confessed to killing her on 19th April, the day that Pattaya celebrated Songkran. He is due to appear in court shortly on a charge of first degree murder and can expect a lengthy custodial sentence if convicted of the crime.

Press Conference on Murder Case

A Press conference was made at Pattaya Police Station on 8th May about the capture of the man who brutally killed his girlfriend in April 2007; he was on the run but still residing around Pattaya.

On 21st April the Pattaya Police found the body of 28 year old Miss Anchisa Phochaisriin in a rented room in Soi Buakhao.

Since the discovery of her body, the Pattaya and Provincial Police have investigated this case which received a lot of interest from the public and Media.

At 6 am on 7th May the Pattaya Police tracked down the killer and arrested him.

At the Press conference it was found that the killer, 19 year old Amnart Chotphromrat from Nakhon Ratchasima province was the woman’s boyfriend. They had cohabited as husband and wife for 2 years. At the time Amnart was a DJ at a pub in Pattaya Land Soi 1.

Amnart stated that the deceased wanted to end their relationship because he was having affairs with other women (a butterfly) and he refused to quit. When he caught her having an affair, he got jealous and decided to kill her by strangling her, which he did then ran off with her savings and belongings.

He confessed to intentionally murdering her and further proceedings will now be done according to law.

MURDERER OF ASPHYXIATED PATTAYA WOMAN SUCCESSFULLY APPREHENDED

Pattaya police have made a breakthrough in a recent murder investigation where a 28-year-old Thai woman was found dead with a plastic bag taped over her head in a room in Soi Buakhao, after lying undiscovered for 2 days.

In a press conference, at 2 pm on 8th May 2007, Pol.Maj.Gen. Somdetch Kowkum, Deputy Director-General of Chonburi Province and his team, announced that they had arrested Mr. Amnart aka Tom Chotipromrat(19), a resident of Wangnamkee-oh, Nakornrachsrima province, and charged him with the murder of Ms Antisar aka Unchalee, earlier in April.

Apparently, Mr.Tom had hidden himself away in a room in Nongyao Apartment, Soi Korpai 3, Moo 10. He reported to the police that he worked at a pub in Soi Pattayaland on the Pattaya Beach Road as a DJ. He had had relationship with Miss Unchalee, the victim, for about 2 years. On the day that the crime occurred, she was trying to end the relationship with him because she told him that she could not live with a man who flirted around with so many women.

However, Mr. Tom did not want to break up with her. Accordingly, on 19th of April, at 6pm , he went to see her at her room in Soi Buakhao and questioned her about her new Thai boyfriend, who he discovered was the real motivation behind her desire to end their relationship.

Miss Unchalee denied the fact that she had a new boyfriend and attempted to give him the cold shoulder, which resulted in a heated argument. Mr. Tom then strangled her, covered her head with a plastic bag and wrapped the bag around her head with tape. Following the murder, he took her mobile phone, pawned it for 10,000 baht and sought refuge at his friend’s place in Chonburi.

Tom came to the mistaken conclusion that the hue and cry had died down and his crime had been forgotten However, the police had been strenuously following up the case, due to its brutality and were eventually able to track him down at his temporary refuge. He will be processed according to the law.
