    An invasion of privacy

EXPECTANT RESTAURANT WORKER TAKEN SHORT IN PATTAYA RESTAURANT

An assistant cook from Chern-long Korean Beef Restaurant experienced a sharp pain from her advanced pregnancy, which announced the imminent birth of her baby. Unable to reach the hospital in time, she gave birth safely in her room.

The rescue services and police were alerted on 5th May 2007, at 6.30 am about the imminent birth and rushed first aid equipment to a 2nd Floor room above Chern-long Restaurant, on Soi Nern-plubwan, but, by the time they arrived, they found the mother, Miss Thawee Salee, (31) from Sri-saket province, exhausted after just having given birth to a baby son. All her assembled cousins and friends were trying to help by holding and supporting the baby. Mother and baby were later taken to hospital to have the umbilical cord cut. This will be Miss Thawee’s fourth child, but she needs to consult her husband before it is named.

Thats the main reason that fathers are supposed to be in attendance during child birth, he is supposed to bite the cord off and then he has to eat the afterbirth [placenta]
That seems to be an old Irish custom,
Here when a calf is born the Thai eat parts of the afterbirth,, no shit, I saw em gather some of it up and take it home, folks told me they eat that shit...

We live in Phetchabun Prov, just 11 km from town and they damn sure do, I just talked to my wife and she said "they damn sure do eat it, collect it in a pan and take it home and clean it up and do eat it, she doesn't but her brother and the rest of the family and people here do eat it, she doesn't know about everywhere, but here she sure does know.

And my wife is standing here now yelling, "Just where do this guy live, if in Issan then I know damn sure that they eat it, where in hell does this guy live??"

And I will believe what I have seen with my own eyes when cows calve in my back yard, and a 52 year old Thai school teacher before I will believe a farang that doesn't seem to know much.

Well I didn't exactly hear that, but I just figured it when one of my wives wanted me to go to the birthing class's when she was getting ready to have a kid.
Why else would they want you to stand there and listen to them yell and cuss the doctor if they didn't plan on a nasty job for you to do.??

Mate, I am from the south, but i do also have some cattle up in the north east also, if there gonna eat that up there, well as they say here, up to them. Your uguements sounded ok, right up to the part where you said " i would believe a 52 year old Thai school teacher before I believe a farang that doesn't seem to know very much" Mate the names "beenaroundawhile" and thats not because of my age. Thing with most ex construction Yanks, they have a real gift for shooting their mouths off before putting their brain in gear. no offence
