Police have arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted or raped at least 10 women at deserted bus stops in Bangkok.

Serial rapist caught in police sting

An alleged rapist who stalked and harassed women at bus stops has been arrested at his home in Bangkok's Bang Khun Thian district, reports said.

According to police The suspect Keng Ninju, 28, admitted that he raped women because he was upset that he is not good looking and had been fooled by several women in the past. He said he wanted revenge.

He admitted that he had raped at least 10 women and had sexually harrasssed several more, police said.

According to the police the suspect targeted women standing at bus stops at night.

He would pick out his target, then stalk her to make sure she arrived at the bus stop about the same time every day. Then he would make his move.

He would pretend to be his target’s boyfriend, creating a scene as if they were arguing about something, and all the while would stand close to the woman with a knife pointed at her to make sure she was scared and would not call for help, police said.

Police said they were able to arrest the suspect because he left his phone number with one of his victims, in the hope of having a romantic relationship. She immediately contacted the police.

Police set up a sting. A female police officer was assigned to play the role of a victim and then ask the suspect out on a date.

The suspected showed up at the meeting point but refused to get out of his car. Police spotted him and followed him back to his home and arrested him.

Police said they have contacted the victims, asking that they report to identify the suspect on Tuesday morning.

Yes ok good job for a change, credit where it's due. But he looks like an average Thai male, nothing "wrong" with his looks is there? I mean he doesn't look like the elephant man. Funny claim - given that so many of the chinese thai guys are fat and really less than average looks. But you don't see them out raping girls at bus stops. Instead they just open the door to the Benz and she steps right in I'd guess.
