Thai-ASEAN News Network - Teacher Who Allegedly Raped 3 Primary Students Remains at Large

Teacher Who Allegedly Raped 3 Primary Students Remains at Large

    UPDATE : 20 March 2012

Police are speeding up the investigation regarding a case where three girls were raped by a teacher, while authorities are preparing an arrest warrant to bring the culprit to justice.

Police from the Wang Muang Police Station in Saraburi Province along with psychologists have interrogated three female third-graders.

The girls said that they were rape victims of a 59 year-old teacher at Muak Lek’s Wang Yang Temple School, Viharn Nopparit. However, the investigation details cannot be revealed.

The mother of one of the victims disclosed that after her daughter and her daughter’s friends were raped by Viharn, the matter has been reported to the police for prosecution, and that Viharn has quit teaching and fled the area.

The Primary Education Office District 2 has suspended Viharn from government service since March 20.

Wang Muang Police disclosed that witnesses have been interrogated. They are now waiting for results of medical check up on the victims from the Wang Muang Hospital, in order to further issue an arrest warrant for the suspect.

At 59 years old, it seems highly unlikely he got this far in his career without having committed prior acts of misconduct. (That is assuming the allegations have merit)

And why shouldn't they have merit?
I've had heated arguments with female Thai teachers

    I think i'll stop there.

Feel too much for the kids.

^ Just the standard disclaimer, they probably do have merit and I know exactly what you are talking about but I too will stop there. Confrontation is avoided here at all costs, even allowing this.
10 to 1 they knew he had a propensity long before these 3 children was my point.

And that is not the worst meted out to primary school kids - or younger - what about the kidnappings and surgical removal of limbs and the tongue where they are put to beg and cant speak of their situation....very upsetting the lot of it.

    ^ I am appalled!

As if their daily abused existence were not enough misery, it would never have crossed my mind that any of these poor maltreated street urchins were mutilated for profit.
    The gods weep....
