Visa at Savvanakhet?

hi members.
I want to drive to Mukdahan and leave the kids whilst I cross the bridge to Savannakhet and get a visa.
Anyone with any experience, advice would be helpful.

Be prepared for an overnight stay in Savannakhet. Very few one-day visas seem to have been issued, of late.

If you want to bring your Thai family across the bridge, pop into the small office on the left, next to the car park, before immigration, to organise travel papers for them. I think this gives them a few days to stay on in Laos.

There are a few very reasonably-priced hotels in Savannakhet.
