Hi Guys,
Will this get overlooked as it would do at the airport or will an overstay fine be applied, I will be using a visa run tour.
Cheers,
Paul

I don't think immigration will give up the chance of making a drink.
I think it is a 500 baht fine
^ You will have to pay the fee. What is it now? 700 Baht a day?
I believe the first day's free if you do not overstay longer.
I had to pay!
Land border crossings you have to pay, it is 500baht perday.
the first day is only free if you leave from the airport. Doesn't apply to land crossing. And yes MtD, I think it is 700 these days.
tx, useful to know...
I misread my passport and thought my year visa expired on the 3rd of Jan it was the second. I had to pay a days overstay of 500 baht at Suan Plu on the 3rd!
cheers for clearing this up
I was in immigration at the Port today and their sign said 500 baht for first day of overstay...maybe at the visa run borders it will be 700
The airport grants an additional 24 hours because so many flights leave in the early hours of the morning and sometimes people get stuck in the airport for a few hours beyond their visa expiration.
I have heard stories of guys who overstayed while waiting for boarding.
They went through immigration before 24:00 but were picked up by immi at the gate.

I think it is a concssion which means it would be applied at the discretion of the immigration officer. Piss him off and you cough up. The Thais wai and smile a lot because it saves them money. It doesn't do any harm for Farangs to give it a try it occasionally.
^ ehh no I dont think so, get some more better story sources
