Last week I arrived in Thailand and everything went smoothly at the immigration desk.

Gave the immigration officer my e-Visa, passport and the flight ticket of the last leg but held off on giving him my insurance document/s.

After reviewing my e-Visa, passport and flight ticket he set the date on the stamp and requested I look into the camera while he scanned my fingerprints.

Just before he stamped my passport a light must of went on.

Where’s your insurance documents?, he asked.

Thought maybe immigration would stop asking for proof because we are required to show proof to get the e-Visa.

    Still stands.......

Last year’s attempt didn’t go well. This year, will hopefully go better.

Started early. Wanted to get the O-X insurance while in Thailand.

It was a pain last year trying to correspond with companies when there was a time difference of 12 hours.

Out of the 7 listed companies which the Embassy lists as O-X insurance providers, only 4 will actually sell a policy.

^ I’ve just renewed my health insurance for visa renewal at the end of this month. AXA is the insurer I used. They are good because you can buy the insurance from outside the country and they issue the certificate you need for the EVisa online immediately.

Costs depend on age. You can find out here.

Age is a factor. But I’ll tell you, it starts off expensive and only get more expensive.
