Already have SCB bank account. Or do they need one to use a specific bank for the 400,000 or 800,000 depending on visa.

Any bank, so your SCB account will do. Remember that the account must be personal, a joint account is not accepted.
Many immigration offices requires it to be a Savings Account, not a Fixed Term Account.
