I am currently in Thailand with a type "o" visa which I got from Perth WA, in a British passport, and have previously obtained a type "o" visa in my Australian passport, with no paper work other than the application form and photo.. Now I have heard I will need a marriage cert in future. Does any one know about this ? I am over 55

Of course it applies to them as well, it is after all part of the Thai immigration regulations.

The police record is needed for the "O-A" visa. The "A" part stands for "Approved", I believe, meaning that the embassy has done all the checks on you and you are approved for a one year stamp at immigration when you arrive.

    I don't think it's needed for "O" visas.

Sorry, don't know, but you could get an "O-A" at an embassy as you are over 50, provided you have the funds and a clean police record.
