Opening for an English teacher in Surat Thani. 350 B/H

    Hi
I work at a school in Surat Thani and have been working here for 3 1/2 year, teaching english to the 5-15 year old students.
Now after 6 years in Thailand i am going back to live in Denmark.
When i leave the school they will need one or two english teachers to fill my place.
The school pays 350 B/H and they can provide accommodation for free.
You dont have to be a native speaker, but you must be good at speaking english, and know how to teach kids age 5-15.
The job is around 22 hours a week, and when you dont teach you can go home.
No one will ask you to stay at the school from early morning to late afternoon, you only have to be there when you teach.
If this sounds like a job for you then please send me an email.
Last i have to say sorry to all the Philipino teachers out there. But the ovner of the school have told me that they dont want an Asian teacher.

    Regards Lars Sorensen

I don't mean to be picky Lars as I'm sure you speak English well, but couldn't you at least use the spell check which TD supplies...

this is the "Teachers" part of the forum after all...

    Going home

Well I think it is time to go home after 6 years.
My daughter will be 4yo in March and she will have to start in school soon.
I guess you all know how the schools are in Thailand!
I don't want my daughter to grow up and study here.
The "funny" part is we are not going back to live in Denmark!
We are going to live in Sweden!
The reason for this is that the immigration law in Denmark is to strict, that means that my (Thai) wife cant get permission to stay in Denmark, but Sweden welcomes us.
It is a strange world we are living in.

The job opening in Surat Thani is still there

We still need a teacher in Surat Thani.
There must be a "farang" out there who would like to work just 2 hour 30 min away from Samui island.

    ^^ one hour flight....

plus an hour early to check in,

plus an hour to travel to the airport,

    plus collecting your baggage etc,

    negotiate with taxi driver touts,

= a whole lot longer than 1 hour!

^^I suppose they have magic buses and trains now... last time I went on one you had to go to the bus station and then wait for everybody to get on and then they turn up late, then you have to wait for the boat and then a taxi when you get on Samui etc....

The plane is much better, it leaves before everybody has got on

Lars: hope things work out for you even though you have to go to Sweden rather than home to Denmark...
