I had gotten pneumonia as well when I was in China and that made me decide to leave. Asthma had kicked in very badly and I knew if I stayed I would have more health problems. I know you mentioned not staying for your last year on the contract, what you could probably do to leave on good terms is get a doctor's note. That is what I did, as I had one more year left on my two year contract. I got a doctor's note, saying that this environment wasn't good for my health and it was better to remove myself. That worked, still got a reference for the good year I put in when I was in Shanghai. I get what you mean about the pollution coming from coal plants. It is the coal plants that are killing people.
