Strange things you've been asked to do whilst practising the black art of teaching in Thailand? Things that you wouldn't normally associate with your job description.

Most recently I was asked to repair a desk, yes a student desk for goodness sake. The tray had come off it's runners & the wheels went bent & twisted. Well I thought, a bit of DIY never hurt no one & duly obliged.

I was also asked to install a set of pronunciation mp3 files on the school server for the students to listen to & practise. I pointed out the the student computers didn't have any headphones, so what was the point. But they said, just install the stuff anyway, the school inspectors are coming soon.
