^you're welcome. I don't know of private boarding schools here in PH. I've heard/ read of rich families sending their kids to boarding or finishing schools in Europe but that's like the top 0.1% in PH.

As for the 2 govt-run boarding schools that I've mentioned, they only take in limited number of students per year (~200 for the science school and ~20 for the art school) so competition is tough. The students have free tuition, board & lodging and are not allowed to leave the campus during weekdays. They can go home during weekends. Some students who are from very far away (example, diff island), they can stay in the dorms during weekends. During Christmas or long breaks, they're supposed to go home.
