I was watching the lastest Bond movie on the EVA flight from LAX and was rather stunned bu the editing they did.
The cut the entire sequence where Bond gets poisonned. And they cut the spappy line "that's because you know what I can do with my little finger".

WTF!!!!
I noticed according to the 2001 census China has a population of 1.3 billion.
Looks like they are taking over.

Richard Branson was on television last night laughing at British Airlines because they cut his cameo apperance on Casino Royal for their airline version. Pretty pathetic especially as having watched the full movie I don't remember seeing Branson.

EVA is part of the Evergreen group. I tried a google and couldn't tell where they are based. Maybe the USA
Perhaps all remnants of "Air america/CIA" associated transport.

Airplane movies are never controversial, violent, or pornographic.
Some of them are censored to get rid of the above, some of them are chosen because they don't have anything of the above.

There are companies supplying those movies not only to flight companies but also to others who show them to a mixed public that hasn't made an active choice to watch them.

Blink & you'll miss it. He is stood being searched by security at the metal detectors in the airport. He's on screen less than a second.

When I was in Zambia years ago (says he as all the other punters slide there beers along the bar away from him) there was 1 (B/W) channel and anything resembling sex or violence was snipped. At first I was disconcerted when one guy having a problem with another one suddenly ended up on the deck across the room in the next frame. Thought I was having seizures or something.

One evening this American sitcom starts up and they're both talking in Spanish (Lady star and a plumber coming to the door - and no she didn't complement him on his physique and get her kit off) which was a bit ethnic but a bit strange when they continued in Spanish for the whole episode. They'd obviously nicked the wrong film canister and nobody noticed it because it had been censored.

ZTV cured me of the boob toob for a year or two even when I got back to the world.
