It certainly seems a coherent direction to take and to focus on.
It's a long road ahead and there will be many obstacles in the way, but as Chomsky has said we need to consolidate and educate and this is something that can be discussed and adapted to the world wide audience.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

I agree with everything in this Neo. It really is spot on. The only reason a person would be against this would have to do with greed in my opinion. Greed for power or greed for all the cash that flows during the elections.

The fact that America doesn't take a day off to vote hit me. Thailand does. Plus the 300,000,000 people x $10 = 3 billion for the election. There's no money problem there. Just lots of reasonable things in this. If you can get the masses to understand this and believe it, they'll want it. I've already posted it on my facebook to share it with others.

(gasp!) ACORN again! What is it with you right-wing-nuts and ACORN?

ACORN was shut down in the wake of the September 2009 release of selectively edited videos by two conservative activists using a hidden camera to elicit damaging responses from low-level ACORN employees that appeared to advise them how to hide prostitution activities and avoid taxes.[9] A nationwide controversy immediately ensued resulting in a loss of funding from government and private donors,[10][11][12] including a "defund ACORN" act passed by Congress. Following the publication of the videos, four different independent investigations by various state and city Attorneys General and the GAO released in 2009 and 2010 cleared ACORN, finding its employees had not engaged in criminal activities and that the organization had managed its federal funding appropriately, and calling the videos deceptively and selectively edited to present the workers in the worst possible light. Despite this, by March 2010, 15 of ACORN's 30 state chapters had already closed[10] and the group announced it was closing its remaining state chapters and disbanding.

It was Brietbart who edited those tapes to make it look as though something happened that did not happen.

Right. OK...of course in a liberal's mind, Acorn is right. If this is indeed the case, why did they morph into this 'new' organization?

    On Topic:

It seems the #Occupy crowd in New York has already jumped the shark and overstayed their welcome. The local neighborhood “Community Board”, which had last month fawned over the protest is losing patience:
“It’s a crime scene down there, and it’s attracting all of the worst people in this city,” said a board member. “We’re hearing reports of rapes, assaults, violence, drug use. The mentally ill are assembling. It’s a public hazard.” There is also concern for businesses. “At this rate, they’re not going to make it through the Christmas season,” the chair of the Small Business Committee said, bluntly. He mentioned Mark Epstein, owner of the Milk Street Café, by name. “This is a new business and he’s not going to make it. It’s an outrage. After all of the economics problems with the loss of the World Trade Center, this is too much to take.”

    Yep, just like you-know-who, right?

On December 7, 2009, the former Massachusetts Attorney General, after an independent internal investigation of ACORN, found the videos that had been released appeared to have been edited, "in some cases substantially". He found no evidence of criminal conduct by ACORN employees, but concluded that ACORN had poor management practices that contributed to unprofessional actions by a number of its low-level employees.[97][98][99][100] On March 1, 2010, the District Attorney's office for Brooklyn determined that the videos were "heavily edited"[101] and concluded that there was no criminal wrongdoing by the ACORN staff in the videos from the Brooklyn ACORN office.[102][103] On April, 1, 2010, an investigation by the California Attorney General found the videos from Los Angeles, San Diego and San Bernardino to be "heavily edited,"[9] and the investigation did not find evidence of criminal conduct on the part of ACORN employees.[9][89] On June 14, 2010, the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) released its findings which showed that ACORN evidenced no sign that it, or any of its related organizations, mishandled any federal money they had received.[104][105]

Yes we know but as I've said, its morphed into another entity with an innocous sounding name - something like Citizens for Communities or some such.

Back to Wiki - which is not the difinitive source for your footnotes or bibliography. An example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Parker

    Why Star Parker?

I'll tell ya why - because she's a survivor of the welfare system who's made good. Become a Conservative as opposed to some bleeding-heart, entitlement-demanding leech on society. She has written three books. Pimps, Whores Welfare Brats, Uncle Sam's Plantation, and White Ghetto. Currently, Star is working on book four, How the Poor Get Rich.

I'm from the UK and recently a moderate electoral reform was proposed, proportional representation, but was killed off by those interested in perpetuating the two party system.

People are apathetic here about politics, and those that do express alternative opinions are derided or excluded making dissent a difficult route to take.

I would hope that the Americans can push through effective political reform, it would serve as inspiration for the UK and for other countries that are politically stagnant.

It is a long road ahead and one has to feel somewhat pessimistic about the chance of wholesale change, but as much as I criticise Americans I am still a believer in what is good about America and how American ideals have positively influenced the world.

After so many years of criticism over what America has become it's time for Americans to step up to the mark and prove yet again that they are the champions of free will.

    11 Constitutional Amendment
In addition to all of the above enacted as an interim law, work toward a Constitutional Amendment that places Electoral Reform outside the power of the government; enact Statehood for the District of Columbia; abolish the Electoral College; and re-enfranchise convicts who complete their sentences
Can somebody explain 'enact Statehood for the District of Columbia' please.

^Washington, DC (District of Columbia) is not in any US state. It is a federal district.

Guess they want it to become a state.

Why is that then? Does not being a state mean it can opt out of national legislation?

Back to Star Parker. Ever wondered why her Wiki Page was scrubbed? Liberals cannot stand a successful black chick who rejects the notion government owes them. Anyhow, here's a feel good story. Language is a little raw but on point:
Coming in from work I hit my last stoplight and traffic came to a screeching halt, the reason being about 20 OWS protesters waving signs, disrupting traffic, throwing hissy fits and generally misbehaving.

I saw a sign that said “We are the 99%” and I was thinking Let’s see, Modesto has 200,000 people in it and they’ve got 20 protesters. That’s a far cry from 99%.

Anyways, there’s this one hippie, great big motherf***** about 6′ 5″, crossing the street back and forth waving his sign and holding up traffic, so I yelled at him to go find a f****** job and let me get home from mine.

He responds with “Shut the f*** up and go pay your taxes” and I came back with “I do.”
“And what do you get from that?” he yells.

“Self respect, you c*********. Try it sometime.”

Then this dumb, stupid sonofabitch, walks out into traffic, comes over to my truck and then lays his hands on my door and starts to say something.

    Wrong, wrong, wrong.

I gassed him. I hit him full in the face with a looooong blast of pepper spray. I mean, I leaned out the window and followed him all the way to the ground with it.

He hit the ground and started rolling around crying like the little bitch he was, but he wasn’t getting much sympathy. Horns and cheers erupted all around.

Just as the light changed I leaned out and told the f****** hippie “Better get used to that s*** son, if you want to be a real revolutionary.”
Best of all, the story has a happy ending:
Now check this out: I didn’t try to get away, I didn’t try to hide, I just drove home. The law has yet to arrive, and it’s been over an hour, so I’m guessing that not a single soul got my license plate and turned me in.
It’s been a few days. Still apparently nothing. The hippie should be finished crying by now.

Knuckledraggin my life away: Modesto ain't New York, motherfucker. We don't go for that shit around here.

Violence Hits Occupy LA: Woman Arrested For Setting Another Person’s Clothes On Fire, Second Woman Attacks Man With a Tent Pole

    Hard to believe, eh?

Police were called to two violent incidents at Occupy Los Angeles on Friday, adding to questions about the protest and its future. In the morning, a woman was arrested at the encampment outside City Hall after she set another person’s clothes on fire, police said. In another incident hours later, a woman was arrested after protesters said she struck a man with a tent pole. Both were booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Also Friday, police arrested a man on suspicion of climbing a tree and dumping fluorescent paint on a historic marble fountain that the city barricaded earlier this week to protect from vandalism.
“We have not seen violent incidents like this,” Los Angeles Police Department Cmdr. Andrew Smith said. “But two felonies from the south lawn in one day? This has raised concerns for us.”

    I'll bet it has...

Seems that woman that pepper sprayed the guy admitted she committed a crime of some sort. She was the violent one in that story. And its only her perspective that we hear.

Occupy Wall Street Forced To Set Up Female-Only Tents To Stop Rampant Sexual Assaults

Zuccotti Park has become so overrun by sexual predators attacking women in the night that organizers felt compelled to set up a female-only sleeping tent yesterday to keep the sickos away. The large, metal-framed “safety tent” — which will be guarded by an all-female patrol — can accommodate as many as 18 people and will be used during the day for women-only meetings, said Occupy Wall Street organizers.
“This is all about safety in numbers,” said Becky Wartell, 24, a protester from Portland, Maine.

“When you’re in a large group of people sleeping, you will, of course, feel a lot safer than if you were by yourself,” she added.
“It will also keep away people that might feel more inclined to prey on two- and three-people tents.”

The safety measure comes amid a terrifying spree of sexual assaults — including an alleged rape — in the Zuccotti Park camp.
Kitchen worker Tonye Iketubosin, 26, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly groping an 18-year-old woman after offering to help set up her tent. He is also a suspect in a rape at the park.

The grope victims include Kara Demetropoulos, who told The Post she was fondled in a tent last Saturday night after accepting a man’s offer of a place to sleep.
