    Nice dodge.

It's ok, you don't live here so our problems are not yours anyway. The ugly truth of our political/economic imbalance is really not your concern - until they decide to do away with social security, which probably won't happen in your lifetime anyway. So keep firing away from the peanut gallery; we Americans who actually live here will keep up the good fight despite your uninformed retaliations and churlish arguments.

    Cheers.

That video has nothing to do with the protests. Should be deleted.

Which is it Boon Mee? Are the protesters lazy good for nothings like you say now or are they working big earners like you said before or are they all independently wealthy, like you say? Or have we gone full circle back to being lazy good for nothings?

It is a better day for the 99% in Ohio. Yesterday on Tuesday, November 8, Ohio voters overwhelmingly Repealed Senate Bill 5. The bill, just passed by the Ohio legislature in March, removed the ability of public employees to engage in one of the most fundamental rights known to working people — collective bargaining.
Occupy Cincinnati was active in this struggle. From Occupy Cincinnati:

"Ohio voters sent Governor John Kasich a clear message about restricting public union rights and denying their right to strike. SB5, the bill he initiated last spring, was struck down by a 60% to 39% margin. We, the people have spoken. This movement is not going away."

I was taking 'poetic license' with that Vid. Apologies.

    Really On Topic now:

OCCUPY DEATH CAMPS – Fourth Protester Found Dead In Tent

A week ago Monday a young man was found dead in his tent at Occupy Oklahoma City. Organizers referred to the man as “Street Poet,” a homeless man. The camp organizers provided him with food, clothing and shelter at the camp where he died.
A woman at Occupy Vancouver was found dead in her tent on Saturday. She apparently died of a drug overdose. She was in her 20′s. The Occupy protesters clashed with police and reporters when they came to investigate.
Also on Saturday a protester at Occupy Bloomington was found dead in his tent

This is certainly a step up from those abysmal drum circles-

Crosby, Nash, No Stills Sing 1960s Hits to Occupy Wall Street

Folk-rock icons David Crosby and Graham Nash performed for society’s besieged 99 percent in a New York acoustic concert audible to about 99 protesters and press.
The outdoor concert today in Zuccotti Park, home of Occupy Wall Street in lower Manhattan, began with “Long Time Gone,” and ended with “Teach Your Children.”

If I was working in one of those offices, I reckon I'd have joined the protest for a while.

There are real challenges facing the Occupy movement.

For one, the media’s stories of crime and violence, including sexual assault, at Occupy camps may be sensationalized, but they aren’t whole-cloth fabrications. In particular, tensions have increased where police have steered people with mental or substance abuse problems to the camps in an obvious attempt to stir up conflict.

In New York City, Occupy activists have responded by establishing a safe watch that is providing support to people who have been attacked in sexist, racist or other incidents, organizing community patrols, and working on restorative justice solutions that don’t involve calling on police.

Such initiatives are important to the future of the movement. Instances of violence and harassment may be more isolated than the media claim, but not a single such attack can be tolerated in a struggle that is devoted to challenging inequality and injustice.

Most of 'em are what I witnessed when attending University of California at Santa Barbara. 'Ol Tricky Dick had just mined Haiphong Harbor, N. Viet Nam, and some of those folks there went completely out of their collectivists heads!

I was tear gassed out of my house in Isla Vista after the cops had enough with incidents like the local BofA getting burned down - twice. My next door neighbors were of the hippie persuasion with anarcists tendencies.

These protests today pale in comparison to 'back in the day'...

Back then they were whinging about the Draft Lottery and possibly having to go meet Charles. Of course have a Republican President in office didn't help things in the hippies minds either.

Today's protests are a kinda free-flowing moan against everything except the policies of the present POTUS.

Well, the beat goes on and as I say, this whole 'movement' is going to end badly:

On November 8, a San Diego woman, taken for a “Tea Partier,” was assaulted while trying to ask questions of the Occupiers. The protesters, visibly seething with anger, attacked the woman because they thought she was invading their privacy — on a public sidewalk. The footage cuts out just as the woman is, presumably, punched in the face.

Tea Partier Attacked by San Diego Occupiers - YouTube

Mayor: Man died of a gunshot wound
    Possibly self-inflicted, witnesses say
NBC: Man arrested for breaking EMT's leg at Occupy Wall Street
Bloomberg: "They generally do not break the law"...
..."you would never know it exists"
Flashback last week: "This isn't an occupation of Wall Street," but of an entire "residential neighborhood"...
..."it's really hurting small businesses and families"

Yes indeed, just like Lord of the Flies, these protesters are degenerating into the lowest life forms. Darwin was right...

    That's a real leap.

Why did that Tea Party woman taunt those people by putting a camera in their faces? She deserved a punch, or her camera knocked away whichever really happened, after continuing to film in their faces with them telling her to stop.

Seems she was there just to cause trouble.

Of course the Teabaggers are too scared to stay out all night and put their lives in danger for what they believe, they have to leave before it gets dark to run back home to mummy's basement and act real tough on the internet.

Very good. I'm sure many police officers will see that video and agree. Let's hope the sentiment takes hold.

It's unfortunate Vimeo doesn't embed here.

Here's a clip of an OWS member from the US Marines. He compares the way his unit in Iraq dealt with rioters and the way the US police deal with these protestors.
