    It would appear that there are a few different types of protesters out there. It's like a grab bag of folks who have too much time on their hands (ones w/jobs) and the rest with student loans they don't want to pay back - the ones with degrees in Classic Literature that can't figure out why they don't deserve a job.

    America hasn't had any good riots since the Viet Nam days. Hopefully there won't be a Kent State-like incident provoked by the rioters...

    While we're in mourning for these sad creatures being oppressed by evil corporations - or whatever, let's also consider the small businesses surrounding the protests that have been put out of action creating even more unemployment.

    Yep, just like them Tea Partiers!

So far today you have thrown your hat in with the teabag terrorists and now the mass murderers at Kent state? You are no longer just a sad old man worthy of an occasional laugh. You have crossed the line into sick bastard waters.

    Tea Party Follows Ku Klux Klan Ideology

    Quote Originally Posted by Boon Mee

    I think not boontard! This is your "tea party";

    For the past 21 months, and during this election cycle, there is an increase in hate and vitriol from groups like the Tea Party (led by Jim DeMint et al) that are directly tied to the Ku Klux Klan‘s ideology. There are members of the Tea Party who are not blatant racists, but for the most part, teabaggers espouse a return to a white-only America that is in direct contrast to the Constitution and freedoms it guarantees for all Americans.

    Unlike the KKK, teabagger groups mask their bigoted philosophy with notions of protecting liberty and returning to the strictest interpretation of the Constitution. Regardless the teabag rhetoric, at the core is a hatred of gays, immigrants, Jews, people of color, and non-Christians, which is exactly the same philosophy of the KKK.

    The “birther” movement that denies President Obama is an American citizen and the 14TH Amendment revisionist movement are a direct response to a black man in the Oval Office. Like the Ku Klux Klan, these bigots insist that America is a whites-only nation, and a black man as President is unacceptable; and in their opinion, illegal. The birther movement and the KKK share the belief that our first black president is not a real American.

    There is an alarming movement in some states to deny citizenship to immigrant’s children in violation of the 14TH Amendment, and it is aimed primarily at Hispanics. The KKK hates immigrants and minorities, and now they have agents in the teabaggers who are trying to drive minorities out of the country. It is a step to denying citizenship to any person of color, and like Nazi Germany, people are getting caught up in the herd-mentality and joining the battle against non-white Americans. It is no coincidence that the KKK uses the swastika as their symbol, and it is ironic that teabaggers accuse President Obama of being a Nazi when they follow KKK ideology.

    People who live in the southern United States understand that the culture of bigotry is ingrained in many from the South, and many southerners condone the KKK and teabagger philosophy. If the South had the assets, they would fight the Civil War again for the sole purpose of banning immigrants, people of color, Jews, gays, and non-Christians from being American.

    Politicians like Jim DeMint, Ken Cuccinelli (VA-R), and many other Republican/teabaggers from the south are imposing their Christian morals on the American people by demonizing gays and Muslims. Teabaggers believe America is a Christian nation, and like the Ku Klux Klan, campaign to purify America by enforcing archaic biblical laws to purge non-compliant citizens from the country.

    The Ku Klux Klan burns bible-crosses to glorify Jesus Christ and openly declare their hatred for Jews, Muslims, and Catholics. It is not far removed from Daniel Webster’s (FL-R) wishes to make biblical stoning punishment for heresy. In the case of Webster and the KKK, heresy is any teaching that is NOT evangelical Christian, and their beliefs are those of the Christian Reconstructionist movement.

    This week the NAACP released a report showing the connection between 6 Tea Party groups and extremists like the Ku Klux Klan, supporting the idea that teabaggers are racially motivated. Observers have felt the teabags are racist based on the representation of white people at teabagger gatherings, and their hatred for immigrants; the NAACP report substantiates that belief.

    With the rise in popularity of the teabag movement, the true bigoted nature of many in America is made manifest and one has to wonder just how prevalent the KKK’s influence on American politics will become. Obviously, the KKK and teabagger mentality is not confined to southern states and shows the scope and breadth of bigots all across America.

    Hopefully, exposing the connection between the Ku Klux Klan and the Tea Party will alarm and anger decent Americans enough that teabag candidates and their racially motivated policies will be shunned. However, with the mood of the country becoming more hateful and bigoted toward minorities and non-Christians, it looks like very dark days ahead for everyone in America. Because just as hate and frenzy steered Nazi Germany, it is having the same effect here in America…land of the free, home of the bigot.

    20111028 Version 3.2 Note: I decided to leave in the ER Road Trip because that is what I would have if I were printing the handouts and taking them around, and because I realized this might qualify for some seed contribution from NYC GA to the IndieGoGo campaign. The road trip is not an agenda item, the wording for the proposed demand to be shared with other Occupy groups is half the agenda, the specifics of the electoral reform act of 2012 being the other half of the agenda, in both cases this is a discussion meeting not a decision meeting.
    ER Road Trip
    Proposed for Consideration & Further Development
    Seeking $200 per state to take this to every Occupy site
    The system is rigged now for the 1% against the 99%. There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be fixed by the simple restoration of integrity to our electoral process and hence to our government, restoring the representativeness and integrity of that government.
    Electoral Reform 2012

    Whereas
    the two entrenched political parties have excluded the other 63 political parties and displaced democracy – organized people – with a form of neo-fascism – organized money;

    Whereas
    the U.S. Government, irrespective of which of the two entrenched political parties has been “in power,” has failed to represent We the People and instead legalized high crimes and misdemeanors by Wall Street and various special interests across all policy domains;

    Whereas
    the U.S. national budget is out of control and being used by the two entrenched political parties to reward speculators who contribute to re-election campaigns (with 5% of the taxpayer-funded earmark being the standard “contribution”);

    We the General Assembly and all related citizens
    who place citizenship above party; principle above party; and integrity above the now-standard corrupt practices of both the U.S. Government and the varied corporations that have “exploded” not only the U.S. economy but the global economy,

    Demand

    As of 5 January 2012, that the President of the United States of America and the Congress of the United States, shall introduce and then pass, not later than 15 February 2012, the Electoral Reform Act of 2012. The elements of this Act are not negotiable and will include all ten of the provisions as set forth in the Act now online for public review, discussion, validation, and as desired, revision and extension.

    If the U.S. Government fails to enact the Electoral Reform Act of 2012 by 15 February 2012, a nation-wide General Strike will be called for, and We the People will immediately begin to work toward the impeachment, recall, and/or public disenfranchisement of each Senator and each Representative failing to support the passage of the Electoral Reform Act of 2012.

    Suggestion: That as many as are inspired to do so take individual action to see these two pages properly presented at Wikipedia/Electoral Reform. That be picked up by DuckDuckGo as well as Google et al.

    Buckminster Fuller: Don’t try to fix a broken system, create a new one to displace it.
    Russell Ackoff: Don’t keep doing the wrong thing righter, do the right thing.

    The Electoral Reform proposals can be viewed here as it's too large to paste:
    http://www.phibetaiota.net/wp-conten...0/scan0017.jpg

    Ok here is a smaller version:
    Electoral Reform Act of 2012

    Phase I [Implementation in Time for November 2012]

    01 Open Ballot Access
    Proposed, that ballot access requirements should be the same for every candidate, irrespective of party affiliation. This helps end Two-Party Tyranny. See Free & Equal. Equal access includes access to debates (see 03 Honest Open Debates). This shall also apply to initiatives and referenda, and to primary elections.

    02 Make It Easier to Vote, & Count
    Celebrate Democracy—Election Day should be a national holiday. Every voter regardless of condition and especially of transportation, should be able to vote easily. Early Voting should be universal. Those who have served a prison sentence should be re-enfranchised. ALL ballots must be on paper and subject to physical re-count.

    03 Honest Open Debates

    Proposed, to end the current monopoly of the debates by the two-party alliance against independent and third parties, that new independent non-partisan means be found to manage honest open debates, to include third to fifth parties.

    04 Instant Run-Off
    Proposed, that to ensure the election of a winner elected by a majority, that the instant run-off concept be adopted for all national and state elections. Included is an elimination of Diebold—guarantee Voter-Marked Paper Ballot for All Voting. Other options include Ranked, Approval, and Range Voting, Liquid Democracy.

    05 Expanded Debates

    America is too complicated to elect one person who then picks their buddies and carries out a “winner take all” purge of the Congress and the Executive. Candidates should be required to name their Cabinet in advance and also post a planned budget, with Cabinet designees participating in Cabinet-level debates.

    06 Fusion Teams

    The public and candidates are encouraged to incentivize fusion teams where coalition cabinets are formed, and there is an end to the winner take all system of governance.

    Phase II [Implementation in Time for November 2014]

    07 Full and Balanced Representation

    Enact Open Registration; all parties having at least 10% of the voters registering a preference for their political philosophy shall be eligible for assigned districts proportional to their number, and also to a proportional share of leadership positions in legislative bodies at all levels from local to national.

    08 Tightly-Drawn Districts
    Proposed, that we end the corrupt practice of gerrymandering, replacing it with compact computer drawn districts similar to the kind used in Iowa. See Fight Gerrymandering. All gerrymanders in progress in 2011 must be stopped.

    09 Full Public Funding of Diverse Candidates

    Proposed, to eliminate all federal and corporate financing of campaigns, and all political action committees while creating a public Electoral Trust Fund (300M citizens x $10 each = 3 billion a year). In passing an honest government would also eliminate the personal income tax and enact the Automated Payment Transaction Tax (APT)) ending all openings for loopholes and lobbyists.

    10 No Legislation Without Consultation

    Proposed, to eliminate special interest dominance of the legislative process, and to end the practice of passing legislation such as the Patriot Act without its actually being read, and to end all earmarks, that all legislation without exception be published on line in Wiki format, with an easy to understand one-page summary, one week prior to its coming to a vote, to include explicit geospatial pointers for all “earmarks” each of which must be publicly announced and also offered for amendment by the voters in the relevant district at least one week prior to the passage of national, state, or county legislation affecting them.

    11 Constitutional Amendment

    In addition to all of the above enacted as an interim law, work toward a Constitutional Amendment that places Electoral Reform outside the power of the government; enact Statehood for the District of Columbia; abolish the Electoral College; and re-enfranchise convicts who complete their sentences

    Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

    Heh...nail in the coffin or what?

    According to Barack Obama, the chaos created by the Occupy Wall Street infestations is “not that different from some of the protests that we saw coming from the Tea Party.” Yet there are a few points of contrast:

    My bet is with the 'what'. These OWS seem to have staying power.

    Tea Party rallies were short, comprised of those people older than 65 (who needed to go home and change their Depends) and cranks armed to the teeth.
