Or one where hateful and bigoted people don't hide behind a selective interpretation of the Bible to excuse their own profound ignorance and intolerance. Or one where people just follow their own moral code and values and live by the simple maxim 'don't be an asshole' instead of acting like a child frightened into behaving by a strict disciplinary parental figure.Originally Posted by RPETER65

This will get you going. I am also a strong Trump supporter, I think he is doing a great job for America and the world. It is the Dems that come up with all the lies and fabricated tales. I will make this statement also, Trump will romp it in at the next election, he will serve another 4 years. Lets see how many call me a Coont this time, keeping in mind we are supposed to refrain from name calling, yeah right.
Yeah, you say that like it hadn't already been inferred.Originally Posted by Mozzbie47

Being Christian isn't a perquisite for being a decent human being or a thriving society, Repeater.
In fact given the history of Christianity often the opposite is true as you yourself constantly demonstrate in your own small way.
As as usual you try to flip my post into something I am not saying. Of course there are myriads of decent people who are not Christians what I am saying is if you look back through history and into the present you will see the biggest offenders of human rights are countries who either don’t allow or repress Christianity.

Christianity has a history drenched in blood and that’s without even mentioning the modern Christian bigots who want to deprive anyone not white and straight of their rights.Originally Posted by RPETER65

The Sweet Baby Jesus doesn't like arrogance either.
Ther or you go again deflecting from the original intent of my post, which was to point out the worst offenders of human rights are those countries that either do not allow Christians or persecute them. Anyway at least you did try to make an intelligent post rather than just bashing the poster which is your usual response to those you disagree with, nice job.
Your intent is irrelevant because you are wrong.Originally Posted by RPETER65

You are not intelligent nor educated enough to give me a history lesson you old fool. The church has the blood of countless millions of innocent people on its hands and has committed mass atrocities over the last couple thousand years. Far worse than the likes of Hitler, Stalin or Mao. It is also far more important to note that none of these despots had a genocide campaign focused directly at Christians that is utter fucking nonsense.
I'm sure you could go on, you always do, but it doesn't make you any more correct.Originally Posted by RPETER65

Human history is drenched in blood. Human beings all have potential to do evil. Maos' China, Stalins' Russia, the Romans Vikings and the moslems through the many different iterations of the Caliph. Genghis Khan, Kublai Khan, the list is endless throughout history. I am surprised someone with legal training would make such biased and unproven statements without any overall regard for the carnage throughout human history. Ant, you do seem to concentrate on white Christian bigots with little comment on "brown" Moslem Jewish and Hindu bigots that abound currently and throughout history. You are allowing your white anti Christian bias to affect your usual ability to have a balanced critique.
Whilst many people have suffered at the hands of people who called themselves Christians, those blanket estimates are a poor argument, especially as that is taken over the last 2 thousand years where much of history is unrecorded. Maybe look at Stalin, Mao and Pol pot whose numbers are far more accurate and can be counted in the tens of millions in a relatively short span of history.
I would venture to say I know many more "white Christians" personally than you do and to make a blanket statement about modern Christian bigots wanting to deprive non whites of their rights is just plain wrong.
Most Christians in my circle have given up many, many more hours of their time and money to look after less fortunate people and minorities of all backgrounds and in many cases "non white", than most non Christians. Maybe you should look at how many non government "atheist" organisations are out there helping the poor. I would also suggest you look at the migration flows of mainly non white migrants as many of them by choice prefer to settle in white "Christian based" countries.
I note your own country has a very poor record of settling "non white" refugees at less than 1,000 per year.
Let he who is unbiased cast the first stone.
