I doubt that will even raise an eyebrow compared to such contemporary masterpieces as "Piss Christ" jettie.![]()

Ah, good. My US military friends sent the linkie to me. I love it.

"... There are many good people in America, they are not all Christian. I wanted him to have a look of shock when he realizes where the source of America's greatness comes from as he sees Christ holding the Constitution..."![]()
Hallelujah brothers and sisters! God bless America*, all others be damned!
*Because nobody else will
From reading the majority of descriptives, the artist is close to being an uneducated idiot, who sadly misunderstands what the USA founding fathers tried to do.
Sadly, there's far too many of these on the conservative side of the fence.
Indeed, a lame brained pseudo-intellectual, trying to legitimise his bizarre thinking, by dressing it up in respectability (a painting, meticulously unoriginal). I love folks who do things like this. They're unintentionally hilarious.
I love how he's trying to present himself as some educated type with this painting (and the pontificating side notes) and justify his warped politics. It just screams "I'm an imbecile", which is not too dissimilar from those who admire it...
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar
This painting represents to me the sheer frustration, desperation and superficiality of the 'right' these days.
They say that a picture paints a thousand words, well all those words are impotent plantiff cries of: 'But, he's black!'; 'But he's a Muslim!'; 'But he wasn't born in America!'; 'He's a Commie!'...
Why is that? It didn't cause any controversy last time it was posted here...Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon

Haha.
School ma'am with a resemblance to Palin = good, Professor = bad.
"One Nation Under Soothing, Trite Banalities" more like, those captions are comedy gold.
Fook me, at $130 for a 12"x18" print I wish I could paint. This guy's a genius, he has found a way to make money out of wingnut stupidity and there seems to be an inexhaustible supply of that.
