The WSJ is becoming another Faux channel

I like reading the WSJ, it's conservative but not in a hysterical kind of way

however the WSJ has been bought last year from the founder family by Murdoch for a significant amount, something the family couldn't refuse despite being interested in real journalism

it didn't take long to see major changes in the editorial and writing style of the WSJ

and there is a disturbing trend, the dumbing down and simplification of the articles, and the segregation of stories according to countries, making it less global and more local oriented

In the US section, the front page has been replaced with very local and irrelevant stories, speaking about the weather or the latest shopping gadget. The US front section used to be the most interesting as it had a nice summary of global, but now this has been replaced with shit you see in other newspaper across America, a fucking disgrace for a global and financial newspaper.

This week we have as a feature on the US front page

    Missing in Texas: Hay
Searing temperatures and a lack of rain have deprived cattle of the green grass they need. That has made hay a precious commodity.

    Hurricane Bill Heads North, Weakens
A weakening Hurricane Bill spun northward Sunday, churning up rough seas, creating dangerous rip tides and closing beaches to swimmers up and down the eastern seaboard.
Print Media and serious journalism is dead, instead it's being replaced with infomercial and entertainment, and at the top of this empire we have a raving right wing lunatic, Murdoch, promoting it all.

    We are doomed,

About the only paper that has maintained it's credibility after a Murdoch takeover is The Times.

Looks pretty grim for the WSJ- in fact you can already see Murdochs grubby paws all over the Editing with it's one sided opposition to Healthcare reform, along with the rest of his media outlets.

The WSJ staff were up in arms before the deal went through and the Murdoch Nazi Party people said that the editorial policy would be left 'untouched'. More lies from the Dark One.

Thanks for the heads up on the WSJ, Butterfly, and also to Sab and Marmers. I dont read the paper anymore but noticed the headlines in links that I found to be different than in the past.

I consider the WSJ to be a waste of time, as most print journalism has become.

True. Articles from the WSJ used to carry some authority and could be confirmed from other sources, nowadays they seem to be just another right-wing propaganda mouth-piece in the Murdoch media empire.

Walk away and add the WSJ to the worldnetdaily.com sin-bin for reliable sources of news.
