WASHINGTON - A top White House aide resigned Friday for his role in Air Force One's $328,835 photo-op flyover above New York City that sparked panic and flashbacks to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Louis Caldera said the controversy had made it impossible for him to effectively lead the White House Military Office. "Moreover, it has become a distraction in the important work you are doing as president," Caldera said in his resignation letter to President Barack Obama.
The sight of the huge passenger jet and an F-16 fighter plane flying past the Statue of Liberty and the lower Manhattan financial district sent panicked office workers streaming into the streets on April 27. Obama said it would not happen again.

Naturally you would because it does not throw dirt on the American in general, you didn't post it, but look at your last posting and see how much sense is in it but it does denigrate the American in general..

The original report of this flyover (on BBC and in the Uk newspapers ) was that the reason was for a 'Photo shoot'.

None of the subsequent reports seem to have mentioned WHY it was done - just full of apologies for doing it !

Maybe I have missed something somewhere?
Any ideas ?

If it was for a 'Photo shoot' who wanted or ordered such expensive photos?

If it wasn't then WTF did they do it for ?

Disagree Milky, it raises important questions about why this was allowed to happen without some sort of prior public announcement. Also, the cost of this event, rumoured to be approx 330,000$ seems poorly timed given the current fiscal staus of the US.

How bout this for a waste of money while we on the subject..........
His wife travels domestically inside the US with an entourage of more than one hundred fifty people (not including secret service), seems I read her personal hands-on staff (makeup, hairdresser, clothes manager etc. etc. total twenty five people.

I have read many times that Obama travels with four teleprompters, all loaded with identical speeches and has them all standing by back stage at every speech he makes, should one fail he has an immediate backup. Of course IMO all this pales in comparison to what this guy Obama is doing to America to wreck it but it does go to show that he does indeed have an ego problem; Several highly respected doctors that have observed him says that without any doubt he is a full blown narcissist, don't have to be a doctor to see that.

This bit not in the link you gave. I do know she does have a make up person traveling with her but a personal hands on staff of 25 I find hard to believe.

I have also read she has a hair stylist and a fashion advisor/clothing manager.
One I read that all at taxpayer expence and some of the taxpayers can't afford a winter coat.
But if you are in the white house then let it all hang out, costs you the same outta pocket.

This is often the case but the Obama's are treated no different than any other regarding their "entourage". Everything Presidents do is at taxpayer expense. Just the way it is. What's the alternative?

I rarely open any drivel that you post because as a subversive with no inteligence I get no good from most that I have read of your postings.
But Bush was in a war at the time and so naturely he would seem to need somme extra security, but Obama has sucked ass around the world and as such a well liked fellow should not need nearly as much security as a leader of a country at war.
I hope that you can understand that, but I fear you won't as you have no actual experience to draw on what with just being allowed away from your Mamma.
