    i'm all for helping charity.....

wot always concerns me is what invariably happens is that the money gets squandered stolen etc.

who's gonna collect it ? whos gonna ensure its passed on to the right folks!

** not that i'm accusing anyone here **

I didn't fancy it, but Frankie said he'd be game.

Lots of HIV orphanages up here could do with it too.
Ya see. I am beginning to see what some fo the Brit members are sayng about the Welsh. Liar liar Pants afire! No fuckin way am I jumping off anything; Plane, crane or even a fuckin' fence (unless the cops are after me).
I think it's a good idea but where would the money go? How to collect it? What would be a decent event? Maybe a BBQ (including wet t-shirt contest) would be more appropriate?

What about selling TD t-shirts via the net or even local shops with part of the proceeds going to the Korat area? We can have (if he wants) Thetyim moniter the fund.

I am up for a sponsored drag race on my bikes.

If we do it soon the Blackbird will still be available as well as my souped up 110cc scooter

If it's later I may hve a mental 250cc 2-stroker to drag on although I may end upside down if I get let loose on it to often.

Motorsport, thats the way to go. I like to stand for the odd minute or two at Tesco in Pattaya and bet with myself how soon before there is an injury.
Maybe someone could organise a Tote-Board and we can all have a bet. say 2.5% of the pool goes to a needy cause. Injury from Start Time 5 minutes 10-1, 5 - 10 minutes 8-1 etc.

Another crazy idea. We all have shit laying around the house from Thailand that we don't use.

We set up a e-bay account under TD's name and then sell the shit.

Also, if you need anyone to help pushing people out of the plane, I'd be prepared to pitch in, as it's all in a good cause.

The missus ain't gonna be happy if I sell her on E-bay.

My dad once tried to sell my mum on Ebay for a laugh. She wasn't best pleased.

but see thats what i do do!

pay a local kid to wash my car, overtip for good service in a resteraunt, pay my maid over and beyond the going rate etc

this way I'm sending a little extra someone elses way - they may not be a starving ethiopian AIDS victum - but at least no do-gooder sexpat admin person is gonna waste the money on shite. adn that person can also have dignity of working (not charity etc)

enuff ppl do this - it will make a big difference.

having said that i DO give money and stuff to Fr Joe's group - cos they are serious about what they're doing. i've also worked with his AIDS & orphanage schools - they need help and you know every baht goes in the right direction (unlike some of the bigger NGO's)

Looks to me like the "jury is out" on the Carwash, so I will leave it dirty. Its a company car, so it can stay dirty.

Why not, I can get my wife to take photographs, while I recline in the Lawn Chair and you wash the car. What charity do you suggest and how much do you think is appropriate ?

Could we somehow combine the carwashing and wet t-shirt elements? I'm sure there must be a way...
