I haven't come across any claims that the Scandinavian region has never had hotter summers and warmer climate than today, and you failed to show in which way, if any, the findings mentioned in the article impact on present climate change theories.

I can only offer the scientists who discovered this tree, to keep close guard on it, because it's very life is now in danger from Global Warming Kooks. To them, removal of the tree will remove proof you so earnestly claim to desire.

They call themselves scientists, and they’re destroying
evidence! A scientist should always be open for reinterpretation,
but you can never destroy evidence. And they were being
watched, thinking they were clever.

This highlights two things. First, those, who worship at the alter of Environmentalism(of which AGW is a branch) will do anyghing to force their opinion on the rest of the world, no matter what. And this clearly proves that with the Left, "The Ends Are Always Justified By The Means".

And Second, the fact that the tree was there, not washed away by any imagionary rise in sea level, proves that all this AGW hyperventilation is indeed much to do about nothing. That is why the AGW True Believers must destroy any evidence that proves them wrond. Consequently, the world's oldest tree is in grave danger of being destroyed by Ideological Kooks.
