Israel's foreign minister on Monday called on NATO to expel Turkey as a member of the organization, in a move likely to further raise tensions between the countries.

"In light of Turkish President Erdogan's threats to invade Israel and his dangerous rhetoric, Foreign Minister Israel Katz instructed diplomats ... to urgently engage with all NATO members, calling for the condemnation of Turkey and demanding its expulsion from the regional alliance,"

Smotrich: War required to destroy Hezbollah, return security zone



[INDENT=3]Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich referred to the escalation in the north and said in a speech that "there is no way to restore security to the residents of the north without a war that will destroy Hezbollah, reconquer southern Lebanon and return security zone that is today in our territory - back to the territory of Lebanon." According to Smotrich:

"The people of Israel are ready for this, they see with their own eyes the results of the withdrawal. It started in Oslo, then the withdrawal from Lebanon and Gush Katif and the thought that it is possible to gather behind walls, fences and sensors and build on international guarantees".

Erdogan like him or not has become a "player" milking Turkiye's geopolitical importance its links to Ukraine/Russia EU, old Empire, through the now oil rich Azerbaijan and Kazakstan up to E Turkmenistan aka Woolamoochi/Urumqi in Chinese occupied Uigher lands.
