Could the Democratic Party pull a viable candidate from the bench and beat the execrable MAGA turds in 2024? I prefer Bernie Sanders, but he's also too old. Gavin Newsome, the governor from California, has some charm, but may be a bit too slick. Oddly, for some reason the mention of California gets the conservatives and many independents livid with rage.

With appeals dragging on and fear of election interference looking political I very much doubt Trump will serve time before the election howeversomuch he deserveth it.

Not a chance in hell.

Plus it will be getting appealed as usual.

A jail sentence would be appropriate, but it would make Trump a martyr, and energise his MAGA moron supporters.

Even if he is jailed, he can still be elected president. Think of all the free publicity that would give him?

The US constitution is no longer fit for purpose. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone to remove the NRA influence, and religion, from US politics but it is unlikely to happen.

The electorate will get exactly what they deserve. Maybe that is the impetus required to get rid of Trump in the long term.
