Genuine question, are there any actual 'qualifications' to run for president?

Presumably you have to be a citizen of the USA, but anything else?

Unfortunately, no. You have to be at least 35 years old, a natural born US citizen, and you have to have lived in the United States for the past 14 years.
That’s pretty much it.

One wonders why they have a minimum age but no maximum.

There are 70 members of the house of representatives that are 70 years old, or older.
15 members of the senate are 76 years old or older. Chuck Grassley, republican senator from Iowa is 90 years old!
He’s been in the Senate since 1980!
Mitch McConnell, is 82. He’s been in the senate since 1985!
