I noted that klondick was also unimpressed by the forcefulness of her rhetoric this morning.

Now we just need chitty's verdict and we can call it a wrap.

So...how is that practice of living one's protest or be the change that you wish to see in the world coming along?

    Uh-huh.
    Just as I thought.

edit: btw, the inquiry is presented as a metaphor for the collective, not directed towards you personally.

Walking 8-10kms a day for the last 6 months has drastically cut my emissions. What have you done in that time Jeff? Apart from boycott cleaning products

Your concern is really touching. In fact, I have been crying the whole day. And was thinking on the worst.
Fortunately, I was caught when throwing a loop up the tree, brought by force to the local Wat where they helped me to find my peaceful mind again...

Jeanne D'Arc got burnt at the stake when she was 19, maybe there's hope yet and this ghastly farrago will end soon.
Oh my, anti-feminist are we? She isn't purporting such a thing. She has a message, and she will have her opponents as we already see, but of course she will. She has two things going against her, age and sex. There will be some people listening (in places that matter) and this will spur an outcry which we have seen by hordes of people protesting in the streets. Governments may listen and that is all we can hope for is to put Climate crisis at the forefront of the agenda instead of on the back burner.

We've all seen the post UN panel interview when she looked like a deer caught in the spotlights.

Thunberg, when faced with an unscripted question, was unable to regurgitate her noble words of inspiration and courage ... she didn't have a clue.

BTW Harry, your personal slight, addressed to me is poor form.

He's denounced all things Western, and is living off the grid eating nothing but home grown food in deepest Isaan with no contact to the outside rat-race that're fucking the planet up with their mindless consumption and emissions while driving too/from their employment each day.

And he's doing all of this while living and working in America

And how is she like a modern day Joan of Arc?

    I mean she's not French. She's not a god botherer. She's not a soldier.

OK she's female, is that enough for you then?

Well she has been depicted in similar ways, and not ironically.

Which is hardly her fault, of course.

Being able to answer the question would probably just be enough.

Perhaps she was just having one of her mental episodes.

Diagnosed with depression at age 11?

The only thing that will come from the Great Greta, is a fucking mass hysteria situation of deluded people all deciding they are suffering from Depression.

Seems to be the accepted fashion these days - some sort of made up deep emotional condition or fabricated psychosis.
The "syndrome" afflicted generations - most, of which, have been easily propagated to the masses.
