Majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd
Do you mean the ones kneeling on people's necks, gassing people, and pushing elderly gentlemen to the pavement?
You're probably right on a couple of those points but he will be busy "reaching across the aisle" and "uniting the country" when, after hopefully winning the runoffs in Georgia and controlling the Senate, he should be telling the Republicans to go sit in the corner and let the adults take over, and ram everything down their throats. Its what they would do.

Donald Trump refuses to concede defeat as recriminations begin | US news | The Guardianrefused to formally concede the US election on Saturday, even as senior Republicans began to distance themselves from him, and as recriminations were reported among aides to a man doomed to go down as an impeached, one-term president.
Before the race was called, Trump continued to tweet his defiance and to attract censure for making baseless claims about voter fraud and his supposed victory. He also went to his course in Virginia to play golf. While he played, a defiant statement was issued in his name.
'An outpouring of hope': Joe Biden addresses Americans after election victory
“The simple fact is this election is far from over,” Trump insisted. “Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor.”
The statement was of a piece with previous tweets and statements since the election on Tuesday – angry, refusing to admit defeat and alleging improprieties by his opponent without providing evidence.
“The American people are entitled to an honest election,” Trump said. “That means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election.
“It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured or cast by ineligible or deceased voters. Only a party engaged in wrongdoing would unlawfully keep observers out of the count room – and then fight in court to block their access.”
None of what Trump alleged has been proved to be true. Nonetheless, Republican legal challenges in key states are set to continue. Leading the effort to marshal a legal force like that which led the party to victory in the 2000 Florida recount were Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr and his younger brother Eric Trump, and Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor recently seen apparently trying to seduce a young actor posing as a reporter in Sacha Baron Cohen’s second Borat movie.

The path to Joe Biden’s victory: five days in five minutes - video highlights
“Beginning Monday,” Trump added, “our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated. So what is Biden hiding? I will not rest until the American people have the honest vote count they deserve and that Democracy demands.”

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, has largely stayed quiet. Nowhere to be seen is an army of lawyers of the size – and skill – Trump will need. The failure to assemble a coherent legal team, and to raise as much as $60m to fund attempts to stop vote counts in some swing states and continue them in others, was in many ways a reflection of previous failures among the small circle of mostly family advisers Trump has kept around him.
Not only that but the electors may not vote the way they are expected to. It seems no one's learned a lesson from 2016.
Bye Bye Don ... may your brand of 'me-ism', your 'contractual relationships' with everyone/everything, well, just RIP.
Life is not about contracts, about 'winners' and losers ... it's about people.
Their lives, hopes and aspirations.
My kids showed me this one ...
That right there is the scariest stat of them all. 70 Million people believed Trumps BS, his endless juvenile tweets, the temper tantrums, the never ending fake news claims, the petty battles that added zero value, the endless lies and self pats on the back taking claim saying "Look at what I did". He neglected listening to experts in their fields thinking he knew it all and when they disagreed he fired them. Leader or Ruler?. I think he just learned the biggest lesson about democracy.. TRUMP....YOU'RE FIRED !!!!!
In the end people tired enough of it that more voters then ever came out to rid the nation of the virus and hate he was spreading. He was, and still is, his own worst enemy. He did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to Make America Great Again...NOTHING. In fact quite the opposite and his child like "They cheated and I am not leaving he White House" sums it up in a nut shell. This was all about power, nothing more. Trump has nothing to live for now. It was a one way ticket for him. His businesses are failures and will be. Trump became President ONLY because people didn't want Clinton. In my opinion, he got lucky.
Hopefully the Trump followers will move on. Biden has a lot to stabilize and a big hill to climb.

i'm in the position of almost agreeing with a lot of what you've posted.
1. IMO, most of his voters don't believe his BS...they know he's lying, but they don't care.
2. inadvertently or not, he did keep obama's economic recovery going for 3 years until the pandemic.
3. i don't think his not leaving is about 'power', it's about his ego and what he perceives as his brand. he can't be seen as a loser. no matter what.
4. from his perspective he has everything to live for....revenge. the dems better get ready in 2022 and 2024, because i have no doubt that he's already plotting and scheming.
i agree 100% with this.

You give him too much credit. He is a dimwit and a moron plain and simple.
It is the surrounding people, the Steve Bannon's and the Roger Stone's, as well as his big donors that have molded and created his identity. The entire "build a wall" thing was concocted by Roger Stone and Sam Nunberg.
His entire presidency was the biggest fraud ever pushed on (some of) the American people.
No place for them to move on to, They are not suddenly become smarter. I am afraid Those idiots are here to stay, and IMO it signals the end of democracy as we knew it. It is not possible to have a viable democracy when such a significant part of the electorate are so easily manipulated.
I am afraid we are in for a rough ride.
If interested read to see what Plato had to say about democracy " google Plato's criticism of democracy" If it does not describe todays situation to a T , I dont know what does.
Plato's political philosophy - Wikipedia.
There needs to be some short of eligibility testing. I know the objections and I fear the associate dangers also, but not acting is IMO much more dangerous to our democracy.
I am following a discussion on a European forum , concerning a lawsuit filed against Pennsylvania alleging that as many as 1200 dead people are included in the voting rolls. And all the "trump supporters see this as evidence that the election was stolen.
Aside from the logical errors that, because they are in the rolls, it does not mean that they voted , and if they voted they can just as likely to have voted Republican as Democrat, and that even if all of them have voted for Biden, and their vote removed, it still would not have made any difference on the final outcome in Pennsylvania, since Biden won by a significantly larger margin.
-- this un informed voters are totally ignorant how the voter role system works in Pennsylvania. Yet they have an opinion that affects the way they vote. Thy are being used by mercenary interests.
-In Pennsylvania is someone has not voted in two consecutive years, a card is send to them that they are required to fill sign notarize and return confirming their legibility to be retained in the voter rolls of Pennsylvania and their district. If they fail to return such card as dead tend to do , and because they might have failed to return that card for reasons other than they are dead, (perhaps they lost it, or it got lost in the mail etc) they are placed in an inactive file in the voter roll, and the only way they can vote is by providing an affidavit that they are eligible and should be removed from the inactive file,
-These trump idiots have no idea about aby of the above , yet they have a strong opinion. That's only one example of many. It is no coincidence that trump overwhelmingy got the Non Collège educated white mail vote,
Some sort of objective test needs to be devised to assure that those voting have at the very least a basic understanding of the issues they are voting on. There needs to be a minimum threshold met. Otherwise I am afraid , given the level of ignorance out there our democracy is doomed.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
Not at all as with a Republican majority in the senate conservatives are not going to loose much the only thing Biden will be able to accomplish will come through Executive Decrees no packing the court,no green new deal or any of the far left agenda. There will still be balance of power.
Don’t you think it’s time to bury the hate and get on with things.
