It's a pity we have the long vac before resolution, an extended farce is such a bore when the dynamics slow down.
Didn't Osborne and Cameron say the same

They do, the leaders are selected through representative democracy.

that would be a dangerous proposition if loons like Nigel or another populist would run for the EU presidency

too much power for one person, needs to be mitigated with a committee

The two are not comparable at all. Leaders of parties are chosen by the members of the party. If you wanted a say in the next leader of the Tory party then you could have joined the Tory party. Now tell me how I can have a say in who will be Junckers replacement?

You fucking idiot, they aren't choosing just the leader of the fucking party, are they, numbnuts. They're choosing the PM too. When people in the last GE voted, they chose the party whose leader they thought would make the best PM. No one in the country fucking voted for Johnson or Cvunt did they? You gormless twat..

    s.a. is suffering from confusion.

one day he says the voters cant be trusted, the next day he bemoans the fact that the voters cant vote.

take it easy s.a., matron will be along with your meds shortly.

You really are an idiot, but the glaring omission from your idiotic post is how I can have a say in Junckers replacement?

Also can you give me a link to your posts showing your outrage when Gordon Brown became PM and how he obtained the position?

Your government has a say in that through their representative, you have to elect the government that represents your wish.
What is it you don't understand with representative democracy?
Direct democracy may work inside your family but becomes clumsier the bigger the group gets and eventually becomes impossible.

Also, the Commission is a fucking collegiate comprising a representative selected by each country. Of course the leader will be selected democratically, through a symposium constituted by the leaders of the European Council who consider a candidate based on seniority and taking into account the results of the EP elections.
The next British PM is going to be decided by a bunch of right wing xenophobic middle class bigots selected by one party's machinery.

Remind me how Cameron's say worked out last time with the appointment of Junker? Glad we are all agreed then that I have no say in who will be Junkers replacement but I could if I had so desired joined the Tory party and had a say who would have been next leader of the Tory party.

Wrong thread old boy. The " I'm a fucking demented northern twat wittering on about something irrelevant" thread is taking place elsewhere, probably on Thaivisa.

Rather better than the Tory selecting May as PM, you dick. He lasted longer.

    You are truly fucking useless.

How low does the £ have to sink against the baht before you are totally fucked? Judging by your increasing erratic posts are we getting close?

His say was one of twentyeight, he obviously wasn't on the same side as the majority.
Are you saying that Britain should have a veto in the appointment of the EU commissions president?

What I'm saying is we have a president no one in the UK voted for, thought I made that quite clear by asking how I can have a say or vote in Jumckers replacement? So we are agreed i along with 500 million other people dont get to choose who is our president of the United states of Europe.

You're presuming you could find a buyer for your 20 square meter condo in whorestown and even if you could with an exchange rate in your favour converting back to sterling it would still buy you fuck all in the UK. Maybe a comparable studio flat in Crewe.

All 32 million could have joined the Tory party if they wanted a say in who the next leader of the Tory party will be. An option they didn't use to have as the leader used to be chosen by just MPs.

Already got a buyer for our place and I can assure you, living in a ghastly northern slum in a broken down benefit shithole in provincial England is not on the agenda.

Christ, imagine waking up evertytday and realising you live in fucking Crewe.

Thank fuk I live outside the place then and while no one will deny Crewe is a shithole, a benefit shithole it isn't due to there being plenty of work here and commuter distance to Manchester and Birmingham.
