Putin: "Men in dark suits" rule the US

    Published on May 31, 2017
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with French publication Le Figaro, has revealed that a US president is more often than not just a figurehead of government. A certain person may be elected by the public on the basis of his merit and ideals – but rarely is this person able to formulate policy. Putin explained that the ‘bureaucracy’ in the US, which is more commonly known as the Deep State, is very powerful and as such does not allow any real change in direction.

“Presidents come and go, but the politics remains the same.” As such, an individual, who may have his own genuine ideas, is elected into the White House only to satisfy the illusion of a democratic process taking place. In reality, “men in dark suits”, who remain anonymous to the voting public, continue to pursue the well-established interests of the US elite with each incoming administration.

So if Trump really isn't running the country, why should the American public care if he is impeached or not? Yes, I know it is a rhetorical question.

Putin's a scary fckuer, He's got complete authority in Russia. There's nobody telling him he can't do something if it's out of line, he's can't even get voted out. Same as Kim in NK but in a major world power.

Putin: It would be nice for Russia if NATO were 'falling apart' CNBC

Putin: It would help Russia if NATO were completely 'falling apart'

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that a collapse of the NATO alliance would be a good thing for Moscow, but he doesn't see the 28-member bloc crumbling just yet.

"Well, in a sense that maybe, they should completely be falling apart, that will help," Putin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in an interview with NBC News' Megyn Kelly, according to a live translation. "But we don't see that falling apart just yet."

NATO was founded in 1949 as a check on the Soviet Union. In a summit last week, U.S. President Donald Trump alarmed U.S. allies by reprimanding them about their military spending and failing to endorse NATO's mutual defense clause.

Former diplomats and others saw Trump's actions as a potential boon to Russia.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, typically a careful speaker, said at a campaign event that the "times in which we could rely fully on others" — meaning the United States — are "somewhat over."

Putin, who was a KGB agent in the days of the Soviet Union, on Friday questioned NATO's continuing purpose. He added that European countries don't need to boost their military spending "if you're not intending to attack anybody."

Few countries are truly sovereign, and Russia is a target of systematic US interference, says Putin

Russia President Vladimir Putin on Friday accused the United States of having engaged in "crude and systematic interference" in Russian affairs for many years.

Russia's long-time premier argued that "worldwide there are not so many countries that have the privilege of sovereignty."

Putin cited India and China, alongside his own country, as nations that had been able to maintain their national sovereignty.

I have yet to find a record from an international forum of a POTUS where the forum is moderated by a popular anchorman/woman from a Russia, giving to the POTUS "indiscrete" questions (not submitted in writing in advance).

What do you say to this?
BBC journo interrupts Putin - gets put right back in place!

He's right. Putin's handing out some payback these days. He's smart and knows his game unlike a lot of autocrats.
