Hmm "ADULT" interesting term.
To be honest bsnubs I find myself struggling to be overly interested in the whole shemozzle.
The innate dishonesty that seems to pervade the entire American political system is intriguing.
The fact that these false, fake, egocentric, self obsessed liars and deceivers are elected by the general public is more of a condemnation of the great unwashed of the USA than anything else.

It's sad. very very sad.

No I don't think so.
I don't really care that much.
To me, in all honesty, it's just one of those god awful reality shows with international consequences, unfortunately.
It's likely to produce world wide death and destruction, pain, anguish and disaffection.
The poor and the innocent, as ever, will be the ones that suffer.
The powers that be, the major players, each and every individual one will simply continue to grow richer, more powerful and more profane.

Is there more to it than that?
Is it really anything more than obscenely wealthy egomaniacs playing the world for their own gain?

I don't know, you tell me.
I just read books.

^ Thank you and that is what I was looking for. I do not disagree with anything you posted there. What so many within America and outside it have trouble grasping is that it is really several nations. The people on the west coast have nothing in common with the people in the midwest and south for example. Yet the nation is awash in nationalism and dogma attempting to draw a common thread that really does not exist.

The only other thing I'd say is that the one thing that all this obscene game lacks is DIGNITY.

Not only in the US but in the modern interweb world overall is a complete lack or understanding of the concept of DIGNITY

It seems to be lost.

To me me that's a fundamental failure of our modern, so called, evolved, society.

I think you're probably right but I doubt things will change.
Those in power will never let it happen.
Why would they?

Given that the powers, the 1 %, control and pay for the forces of control, the army, the military and so on there's no chance of change.
It's not in their interest is it.
Apart from a serious, violent revolution of the masses nothing will change.
The future does not look particularly inviting.

Thank the gods I can sit here in far northern Thailand and just drink beer and read books.
