I think you can take what Nunes and a Murdoch rag try and intimate with a very large dose of salt.

Nunes told reporters he had seen new information showing that the communications of Trump transition officials were scooped up through monitoring of other targets and improperly spread through intelligence agencies during the final days of the Obama administration. He specifically stated that the new information he received did not support Trump’s allegations that President Barack Obama had ordered a wiretap at Trump Tower.

yes, specifically trump shooting from the hip saying obama ordered wiretaps, of course, is not true as the president can't order wiretaps.

though, in terms of who's going to jail, it'll be obama/hillary supporters in the obama admin and leftover obama/hillary supporters in the trump admin (as trump is onto something):

You just can't force yourself to admit that either the orange-faced wanker is a complete fucking moron or lying through his teeth, can you?

Given that he twatters his bullshit right after it's on Breitbart or Fox and Friends, I tend to favour the former, although he does lie through his teeth to try and cover up his clangers.

More evidence that he's actually just a bumbling buffoon.

LONDON — US President Donald Trump mixed up the European Union's two most senior figures during a phone conversation with the European Commission's president, Jean-Claude Juncker.

In an interview with the Financial Times this week, Juncker said he planned to visit Washington, DC, next month — but did not know whether he would even meet with Trump.

He added that the president "does not understand anything" about Europe and recently thought he was speaking with Juncker when he was actually on the phone with the European Council's president, Donald Tusk.

if trump is correct (in general) that the obama admin was looking at transcripts of surveillance (with names of americans, i.e. the trump team, in them).

    well, ray,

if they were (looking at transcripts of surveillance), this is very serious

and people will be going to jail for leaking flynn's name, etc. (like even seeing "raw intelligence"), as you probably know.

no idea if any leakers are going to jail....and as much as you desperately want that to be the "story", it's just not going to be.

you can beg, hope, pray and plead for it to be, but it's never going to be as long as there is an active FBI investigation into the trump campaign colluding with the russians to affect our democratic process...and btw, many analysts believe the investigation could go on for years.
and once a special prosecutor is named by congress, god only knows where that will go....maybe that process will out some of the leakers you're so concerned about.

so, who do you think is going to jail? roger stone? paul manafort? carter page? former NSA flynn?

There is not a chance in fucking hell that Republicans will appoint an independent special prosecutor with subpoena powers, even though it's painfully obvious that this is what is required for true transparency.

same whitewater/murder conspiracy theories about clinton, conspiracy theories about dubya doing 911 and obama being muslim/not american.

    good luck with that, ray.

the only difference is the u.s. mainstream media is supporting your conspiracy theory, ray:

trump (his campaign) being a really bad dude who hooked up with the russians (to defeat hillary) will never be more than a theory about a conspiracy between trump and the russians

i made an error in my post...it's the justice department that names a special prosecutor....congress can appoint a special committee or investigate through existing committees.

Why do you so adamantly insist that when there is so much certainty in the intelligence community?
You privy to things they aren't or is it more likely they're privy to things you aren't?

    so, ray:

trump who has been talking about running for president for decades,

finally put his finger in the air and felt it was his time.

he knew the things he's been talking about for decades (unfair trade, etc.) will be a winner.

    at the same time, ray,

trump thought: "gotta get those russians to help me by sending files to wikileaks about podesta being a prick and the dnc favoring hillary over bernie"

    ????

great conspiracy theory you have there, ray.

No, all you are doing is blowing wind and piss when it's abundantly clear that there was enough evidence involved for the FBI to launch an investigation.

You need to pay attention before you start spouting all this bollocks.

In his statement on Monday Comey said the FBI began looking into possible coordination between Trump campaign associates and suspected Russian operatives because the bureau had gathered "a credible allegation of wrongdoing or reasonable basis to believe an American may be acting as an agent of a foreign power."
Note that this is Comey being quoted before you start on yet another irrelevant tangent.

you misunderstand: the scandal won't be starting the investigation, it'll be what happened after it started:
