Trump is a disrupter, and that's good for some who see the system as already being fucked, needing major rebirthing, and some new facts!

To those stuck on the status quo , Trump is the Devil/Hilter incarnated.

IMO, it's funny that people can't get over the fact that trump's a 70-year-old from jamaica queens who moved into real estate in manhattan and still has a chip on his shoulder that he has to prove something (my hotels are better, my golf courses are better, my ratings are better).

anyways, all the predictions for doom and gloom during a trump admin from the mainstream media are going to be proven wrong, IMO, when the economy picks up, millions who've been out of work so long they're no longer even considered unemployed are put back to work and trump wins a second term.

to do that, he'll have to follow kudlow's advice:

'We Must Think Big and Dream Even Bigger'
    By Lawrence Kudlow
    January 25, 2017

Toward the end of his speech, Trump said, "We must think big and dream even bigger." To understand Trump and his message on Inauguration Day is to appreciate the importance of that sentence.

He then added: "The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action. Do not let anyone tell you it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again."

Trump was a change candidate who blasted away at the establishment's failures at the expense of ordinary Main Street folk. And he successfully ran with the simple idea that things can be fixed. And he brought that optimism to his inaugural address.

As he said: "Now arrives the hour of action. Do not let anyone tell you it cannot be done."

Decades ago, when Reagan was elected president, the intellectual consensus was that high inflation, high unemployment and American decline could not be changed. The idea was that the country was ungovernable.

But Reagan put an end to that. He did it with a clear set of easy-to-understand policies to fix the economy and restore American leadership abroad. And he guided that plan into place with his quintessential optimism.

Trump and Reagan are very different people. And Trump's governing style will be nothing like Reagan's. But the underlying principle of optimism is the same.

For these reasons I believe President Trump has the potential to be a transformational figure. And he is moving fast. His actions and energy in just the first couple of days have been remarkable.

Everywhere he repeats the theme of economic growth with lower taxes and fewer burdensome regulations. The war on business is over. We will reward success, not punish it.

He talks bilateral trade deals that can be enforced. He is freezing federal hiring, proposing to cut government spending $10.5 trillion over 10 years, doing away with Obamacare mandates, getting the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines in place, welcoming a constant flow of visitors from businesses and unions and taking calls from foreign heads of state.

He has set up a meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May, moving a U.S.-Britain free-trade agreement from the back of the queue to the front.

He is making it clear that he will seek border security, replace catch-and-release with catch-and-deport, institute skills-based legal immigration (rather than family-based), deport criminal illegals and end sanctuary cities.

yes, obama did a good job of getting the country out of the mess dubya left (banking crisis and economy crash).

but the labor participation rate is still very low and the economy's been running on free money (0 interest rates) just to keep it going (not a sign of a strong economy) like it's running at 60 miles an hour in second gear, as it were.

Interesting discussion with the head of border angels about trumps border policy.

Morones feels that due to USA's foreign intervention forcing people to migrate, the USA has a moral duty to let those displaced people in.

Its fascinating, as I see the brutal policies followed by Bush, Obama, Clunkton with a role played by Cameroon and Sarcozy have led to tremendous suffering, and then due to their incompetence, the ordinary US (and European) citizen has to pay for their folly while they admonish any citizens for being racist if they put up any objection and pretend to have the moral high ground.

We truly live in a world of Orwellian doublethink.
    Oh the irony...

Sales of George Orwell's 1984 soar after Donald Trump adviser puts forward 'alternative facts'
Facts have been distorted for years, it's only now the lsm is alarmed, as their time controlling the doublethink is over.

It's their second shot, first was the 'fake news' meme that backfired spectacularly back on to them, alternative facts will likely not work either.

Their basic gripe is trump is better at communicating and leading the narrative than they are, I don't think they will win this war.

The vets who voted for him didn't anticipate hiring freezes that will affect care at VA facilities either. Or making it more difficult for them to get jobs with the gubment. And those low income vets who don't live close to VA centers? Yep, there goes their ObamaCare. Of course it's probably their own damn fault since they probably didn't have the proper ID to vote.

WTF are you talking about? I was planning to rotate back to the CONUS in June and now Drumpf has implemented a friggin' hiring freeze. And now I'm stuck like chuck in Japan for who knows how long ...

People who were in the air flying to their new assignments now cannot be gained in to their new job.

People who had already shipped their household goods must now wait for them to be shipped back to them.

Not to mention veterans must now wait 180 days to apply for federal jobs after being discharged from the military ...

Donnie the Baboon can kiss my fat white arse ...
    Sorry to hear this, SK.

So, your job was newly created or you were filling someone's position?

    Pardon the ignorance.

I'm aware of the hiring freeze.
I'm one of the few protected by statutory return rights it appears. The problem is the job I'm currently in can't be filled during the hiring freeze. So there is no way the losing command is going to let me leave until my relief is hired and physically onboard. I could demand to leave on schedule but I just can't leave my current boss in the lurch like that.
    Thanks for the info.

    Interesting logistics.

Trump orders wall to be built on Mexico border

President Donald Trump has issued an executive order for an "impassable physical barrier" to be built along the US border with Mexico.

He also signed an action to strip funds from US cities that are sanctuaries for undocumented immigrants.

Mr Trump said in a TV interview with ABC News that Mexico would "absolutely, 100%" reimburse the US for his wall.

But Congress would have to approve funding for the structure, which is estimated to cost billions of dollars.

With every passing day we see reports of things being done that we were assured would not; could not, possibly be done by the Donald. Just empty promises you see.

Cabinet posts are confirmed as the 'totally unsuitable" candidates pass the vetting process without drama. There are not many bleeding hearts in the new administration.

The so called liberal left continues to froth. They just can't understand how anybody that does not think and act exactly like them could possibly achieve anything. Some have nightly visions of Obama descending in a blaze of fire and light to save them from the Demon Trump....but then they wake up and turn on their TV....and the fucking wall is being built.....OMG. Hope fades even more when Ralph Lauren announces that they are in the business of making dresses; not politics, and in a subtle way tell them to STFU.

The game continues in the first period....Team Trump up by 25 goals now while the opponents are still adjusting their equipment, and the crown continues to shout and stamp their feet.....this can't be happening.......

The rest of the world watches and wonders.....the rules of the game have changed and now so many goals are being scored...surely this can't be happening.
