Do you notice they will not under any circumstances give credit for the positives Trump have already given to the American workers.

^ This is just project fear, we had the same during the run up to brexit, same tactics.

    Constant never ending fearmongering.

When they lose badly in 2018 they still wont wake up, its only when the dims get decimated in 2020 they will finally leave lalaland behind.

What positives are you talking about?

The reduction in the number of jobs Carrier moved to Mexico that he paid them for?

The jobs that Softbank promised in October, in return for Trump allowing the merger between Sprint and T-Mobile (guess what will happen to jobs when that happens)?

Any other comedy bullshit you want to add?

WTF are you talking about? I was planning to rotate back to the CONUS in June and now Drumpf has implemented a friggin' hiring freeze. And now I'm stuck like chuck in Japan for who knows how long ...

People who were in the air flying to their new assignments now cannot be gained in to their new job.

People who had already shipped their household goods must now wait for them to be shipped back to them.

Not to mention veterans must now wait 180 days to apply for federal jobs after being discharged from the military ...

Apparently certain of the more strident elements in the snowflake establishment want Ralph Lauren boycotted......for the heinous crime of designing some outfits for Mrs Trump.
A couple of very left wing and no doubt very gay NY designers had refused to outfit the woman, but Ralph Lauren was up to the task. This is not acceptable in snowflake circles. Making nice clothes for the Presidents wife is supporting oppression you know.

Somehow it seems unlikely that many of the people making these absurd demands would be dealing with a high-end fashion outlet like that anyway, but it does get them a bit of attention just mouthing off about it.

Meanwhile, TPP is dead; XL pipeline is back on the front burner and tomorrow there will likely be an executive order closing off migration channels for anything remotely resembling a jihadist refugee.

So far all of those selected cabinet appointees that we were assured would never get passed the vetting process, seem to be getting through the hoops without too much fanfare. The nepotism claims re: Kushner have not been upheld and he takes up his position as expected.

If this was a hockey game, team Trump would be leading by about 20 goals in the first period while the supporters for the opposing team continue to shout insults and throw things.... The interesting thing about hockey is that it the number of goals scored that wins the game, not the amount of noise made by the crowd...

So Indiana gives Carrier $7 million in tax brakes for a $16 million investment, and saves 800 $30 per hour jobs, would you not take that deal?

It's "breaks" not "brakes" you moron.

And don't be so gullible. The $16 million investment (which Trump is subsidising with Indiana taxpayers' money) is for plant automation.

Have a fucking guess what they'll do then? Go on, just take a wild guess. No, it will take too long for your ageing, empty cranium to work it out:

Most of that money will be invested in automation said to Greg Hayes, CEO of United Technologies, Carrier's corporate parent. And that automation will replace some of the jobs that were just saved.

"We're going to...automate to drive the cost down so that we can continue to be competitive," he said on an interview on CNBC earlier this week. "Is it as cheap as moving to Mexico with lower cost labor? No. But we will make that plant competitive just because we'll make the capital investments there. But what that ultimately means is there will be fewer jobs."

Like I said, any more "tremendous, amazing Trump jobs deals" you'd like to add?

The one thing I will give him credit for is pulling out of the TPP. He has already caused more harm than good for American workers so your post is bullshit. On the first day he made it more difficult for workers to buy a house by rolling back tax credits on mortgages. He will be doing a lot more damage to them in the future when he guts medicare and raises the SS retirement age to 70. Get real.

Pence has the nuclear football. I would bet dimes to dollars. Drumpf is on training wheels as president and is basically a stupid lemming that will sign anything that Reince Priebus and Ryan put in front of him.

He will do it without reading of course because he doesn't read. Well other than Hitlers speeches of course.

The tax break deal stipulates Carrier keep the 1000 jobs.

Might want to try and read what people actually post before typing things.

Not that I consider myself a part of "they", or "them", or whatever other binary categories that far too many posters here use to try to simplify every person/every issue/every THING

I'm one of the few protected by statutory return rights it appears. The problem is the job I'm currently in can't be filled during the hiring freeze. So there is no way the losing command is going to let me leave until my relief is hired and physically onboard. I could demand to leave on schedule but I just can't leave my current boss in the lurch like that.

    And to SKkin ... ...

Interesting discussion with the head of border angels about trumps border policy.

Morones feels that due to USA's foreign intervention forcing people to migrate, the USA has a moral duty to let those displaced people in.

Its fascinating, as I see the brutal policies followed by Bush, Obama, Clunkton with a role played by Cameroon and Sarcozy have led to tremendous suffering, and then due to their incompetence, the ordinary US (and European) citizen has to pay for their folly while they admonish any citizens for being racist if they put up any objection and pretend to have the moral high ground.

We truly live in a world of Orwellian doublethink.
