Crickey, who saw that one coming.
Yeah, the polls. Exactly. The polls measure vote totals, not the electoral college. The "horserace" refers to polls, not the electoral college. Just to jog your memory here:Originally Posted by Humbert

To summarize my original post because you want to argue some nonsense: Trump is within 2-3 points in the polls. Romney vs. Obama (and many other American POTUS elections throughout history) provide proof that a ~3 polling error is not at all uncommon in national elections. It only becomes magnified when an election is very close (and in fairness I do believe this is why you said originally that the election was a blowout. 3% feels like a blowout when 0-1% was the polling consensus). Either Trump or Hillary can easily outperform or underperform their polling averages by 3 points on either side. Trump can win, but Hillary is just as likely to overperform as he is. This tendancy of polling to be off by a few points gives him roughly a one in three shot to win. None of this has shit to do with the electoral college

Yeah you weren't talking about the electoral college. Just being flat out tedious with it...

Whatever dude, just intentionally being dense with it. Trying to act like you have no idea what happened, then quoting shit that happened after the fact to make it seem like it happened earlier. LMFAO. Ridiculous.
You clearly said the popular vote total was a blowout and it wasn't. Everything else is just shit being thrown at a fan
I did not. I said Obama won in a landslide, which cannot be disputed.Originally Posted by redhaze
So basically your argument is that you transitioned your entire thought train in the last four words away from the entirety of the rest of your post and the sentence attached to those words which was clearly talking about vote percentages.Clinton is +5 in the CNN Poll of Polls. Remember, in 2012 Romney and Obama were tied at 47% in the weekend before the election and Obama won in a landslide.
^You know I've patiently explained the process of electing a President to you but in your obstinance you simply will not accept the facts. The only metric that matters in a Presidential election is the final electoral vote count. Who won cannot be determined by the popular vote. I told you that the national poll was tied at 47% the weekend before the election, which was a fact, and despite this Obama won the election by a landslide, which is a fact. Won, means winning the electoral vote. You are only demonstrating what an idiot you are by insisting that the popular vote is the determining factor in describing the election as a 'landslide'. If you don't like the term, substitute 'decisive', 'convincing', 'overwhelming' or anything that describes Obama's win as huge.
CNN has Clinton dropping below 270 electoral votes for first time. Clinton 268, Trump 204.
2016 Electoral Map (Interactive)
CNN has Clinton ahead by 4% in popular vote.
The polls have tightened as they always do the week before the vote. Trump is in with a real but difficult road to win. If Clinton wins Florida and SC it's game over for Trump.
Too me, having lived outside the US for 25 years, it is incomprehensible Trump has made it this far. Clearly I underestimated the discontentment folks have for the political establishment. So much so they intend to vote for Trump to show their displeasure for the status quo.
Clinton likely to win but Trump has sent a message both parties better heed. Shape up or ship out!
5% actually.Originally Posted by Norton

This video shows the Donald's interesting progression to becoming a presidential candidate.
And how he isn't a conventional muppet politician, which is why he's getting so much traction with the regular folks.
And this one lays out the Trump strategy, which has been quite effective.
The progressives and rethugs seem to underestimate Trump at every turn!
Hillary is truly getting smashed, I wonder if anything will be left to put in jail!
You know for a fact I understand the electoral college, you know for a fact the entire original conversation had fuck all to do with the electoral college until you tried to backtrack your shit after being called out, and you know your post had fuck all to do with the electoral college. You've been childishly arguing bollacks and nonsense for two pages. Just can't bring yourself to admit a simple mistake.
Trump supporters do nothing more than argue childish bollocks and nonsense.
After all, they are so thick they support a draft dodging rapist who laughs about not paying taxes and stiffing the little guy.
The IQs must barely get out of single digits.
Funny as fuck seeing Chump running like a pussy from a bloke who had a sign saying "Republicans against Trump"!
Very fucking scary!
