To summarize my original post because you want to argue some nonsense: Trump is within 2-3 points in the polls. Romney vs. Obama (and many other American POTUS elections throughout history) provide proof that a ~3 polling error is not at all uncommon in national elections. It only becomes magnified when an election is very close (and in fairness I do believe this is why you said originally that the election was a blowout. 3% feels like a blowout when 0-1% was the polling consensus). Either Trump or Hillary can easily outperform or underperform their polling averages by 3 points on either side. Trump can win, but Hillary is just as likely to overperform as he is. This tendancy of polling to be off by a few points gives him roughly a one in three shot to win. None of this has shit to do with the electoral college

Are you thick? I'm trying to point out to you that the popular vote is not as important as the popular vote which you keep harping on. The election can be won in the electoral college vote while losing the popular vote as Bush did in 2000. You are fixated on the aggregate popular vote. In the vote that counts, Obama won by a landslide in 2012.

The only metric that matters in a Presidential election is the final electoral vote count. Who won cannot be determined by the popular vote. I told you that the national poll was tied at 47% the weekend before the election, which was a fact, and despite this Obama won the election by a landslide, which is a fact. Won, means winning the electoral vote. You are only demonstrating what an idiot you are by insisting that the popular vote is the determining factor in describing the election as a 'landslide'. If you don't like the term, substitute 'decisive', 'convincing', 'overwhelming' or anything that describes Obama's win as huge.

CNN has Clinton ahead by 4% in popular vote.

The polls have tightened as they always do the week before the vote. Trump is in with a real but difficult road to win. If Clinton wins Florida and SC it's game over for Trump.

Too me, having lived outside the US for 25 years, it is incomprehensible Trump has made it this far. Clearly I underestimated the discontentment folks have for the political establishment. So much so they intend to vote for Trump to show their displeasure for the status quo.

Clinton likely to win but Trump has sent a message both parties better heed. Shape up or ship out!
