    USA! USA! etc.

    CNN —
An 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were killed and 28 others injured in a mass shooting at a Baltimore block party, officials said.
Nine people were transported from the scene to hospitals and 20 people walked into hospitals in the area. Three of the injured are in critical condition, according to a police statement.
The 18-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene and the 20-year-old was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
Twelve patients are being treated at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and four patients are being treated at the medical center’s pediatric emergency department, the University of Maryland Medical System spokesman Michael Schwartzberg said in an emailed statement.
Police received multiple calls after 12:30 a.m., and arrived to find one woman dead and another nine people suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Baltimore Police Acting Commissioner Richard Worley.
There is no information on suspects or a motive at this time, but investigators are “working an extensive crime scene,” Worley said.

Authorities are reporting that Card recently checked himself into a mental health facility, for 2 weeks, after “hearing voices to harm people.”

In other news, the new speaker of the house, is an extremely conservative, pro-gun evangelical. As usual, expect nothing on gun control, from Congress.

I know this is getting off topic, but this is the clown, who now is second in line to the presidency.

He was a spokesperson for a hate group

Before entering politics, Johnson worked for the Alliance Defending Freedom – designated a hate group by the Southern Law Poverty Center, which tracks US extremists.
According to the SPLC (Alliance Defending Freedom | Southern Poverty Law Center), the ADF has “supported the recriminalisation of sexual acts between consenting LGBTQ+ adults in the US and criminalisation abroad; defended state-sanctioned sterilisation of trans people abroad; contended that LGBTQ+ people are more likely to engage in paedophilia; and claimed that a ‘homosexual agenda’ will destroy Christianity and society”.
On Wednesday, the ADF senior counsel, Jeremy Tedesco, denied the organisation was a hate group and attacked the SPLC designation as partisan.
“The truth is, Alliance Defending Freedom is among the largest and most effective legal advocacy organizations dedi
cated to protecting the religious freedom and free speech rights of all Americans,” he said.

Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine) said he would pursue an assault weapons ban after a mass shooting killed at least 18 people in his hometown of Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday.

The gunman, believed to be Army reservist Robert Card, is still on the run.

Golden said the shooting Wednesday had forced him to change his mind on pursuing a ban, which he previously did not support.

“Out of fear of this dangerous world that we live in, in my determination to protect my own daughter and wife in our own community, because of a false confidence that our community was above this and that we could be in full control, among many other misjudgments, I have opposed efforts to ban deadly weapons of war, like the assault rifle used to carry out this crime,” Golden said at a press conference Thursday.

“The time has now come for me to take responsibility for this failure, which is why I now call on the United States Congress to ban assault rifles, like the one used by the sick perpetrator of this mass killing in my hometown of Lewiston, Maine,” he continued. “For the good of my community, I will work with any colleague to get this done in the time that I have left in Congress.”

“To the people of Lewiston, my constituents throughout the 2nd District, to those who lost loved ones and to those who have been harmed, I ask for forgiveness and support as I seek to put an end to these terrible shootings,” he said.

So after days of being told he's a firearms trainer and specialist, it now seems...

A gunman who shot dead 18 people in the US state of Maine has been identified as a US Army Reserve petroleum supply specialist.

An account on the social media platform X with Card’s name and a photo that appears to be him, which has been taken offline, had a history of liking right-wing and Republican political content.

And this is the country that will broker peace in Israel?

Americans are truly fucking stupid and possibly dumber than the average Russian.

Let us pray, indeed. For fuck’s sake, what a total spastic cvunt. And wasn’t he the prick who tried to overthrow the election with Trump whose cock was attached to his gob? So, the Republican party has voted for a totalitarian godbothering loony fuckwit as Speaker?

Truly, The Age of The Stupid.

The thing is SA. 95% of Americans could give a rats ass what happens in other countries. The top media agencies spend a copious amount of money and time putting a spin on it trying to make it a thing. It's all politics and posturing

My stance is, let countries figure out their own shit. I have always said, it's astonishing what people will do to other people for the sake of religion. The world is a ghetto.

As for mass shootings, America has a huge population of mentally ill people and with access to firearms that they will have a check valve stick and go off and kill people. All the media hype, the history dig on the shooter and assessments changes nothing. It's all bullshit. 2 weeks from now, it will all be forgotten except for the poor souls who lost love ones. Tragic really.

Stumpy, I know your talents essentially focus on manual dexterity, engine oil and hard labour, but that’s still no reason for talking utter shite.
Since WW2 when your politicians finally realised there was an outside world and ended your isolationism, you have been fairly active in embroiling yourselves in other countries viz Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Panama, Grenada, Iraq, Iran, Nicaragua, Salvador, Chile, Somalia, Afghanistan and of course Israel. Interfering in other countries is your thing.
Apropos the continuing slaughter by homegrown fuckwits and nutters, it is chastening to note that more Americans have died from domestic gunplay than American servicemen killed in action in all your wars including terrorism.
A population of 332 millions, the majority of whom are probably stupider than a tree, in possession of 500 million weapons is insanely imbecilic. But the Dunning Kruger effect is particularly strong.

See and therein lies the problem. War is politics, politics leads to war. People like you dive into it like you can change it.

I learned a long time back, focus on things you can impact. Outside of that it's like pissing in the wind which you seem to do alot of.

Carry on with your rants about everything. I know some how it makes you feel better.
