9:30am - (UNOFFICIAL) Flight MH370 has resurfaced and landed safely in Nanming, China. Early reports say that the aircraft had experienced a cockpit electronics malfunction.

As of this moment, the flight crew and all 239 passengers onboard are believed to be unharmed as some of the crew has already informed their families of their safety.

Chinese have confirmed the plane never entered Chinese airspace

A Malasian Airline statement at 10.30am said:

Malaysia Airlines confirms that flight MH370 had lost contact with Subang Air Traffic Control at 2.40am, today. There has been speculation that the aircraft has landed at Nanming. We are working to verify the authenticity of the report and others.

The link also contains the name of the pilot and the nationalities of the passengers. More than half of the passengers were Chinese.

Malaysia Airlines and Chinese officials are denying rumors about the missing Malaysia Airlines flight.

The airline is denying rumors that the flight has been “found.”

It went missing on Saturday morning Asia time. The plane took off just after midnight from Kuala Lumpur and was supposed to land in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. but air traffic control lost communication with it around 2:40 a.m.

Rumors are flying that the plane has already been found, but an airline executive emphasized to CNN that the plane hasn’t been found.

Other rumors claim that the plane crash landed in Nanming, China. Chinese authorities–known for being secretive, especially in such scenarios–denied these reports.

The Malaysia Digest is one of the main sources of these rumors, publishing a story that says that “unconfirmed reports of flight MH370 landed safely in Nanming.”

Malaysia Airlines said that it is searching for the plane, and will let people know when it has been found. The plane had 227 passengers from 13 different countries, including China and Australia, and will let people know when it has been found.

The plane was a Boeing 777-200 aircraft. The model never in its 20 year history had a fatal crash until the Asiana crash in San Francisco in July 2013 that killed three and left dozens of others wounded.

This specific plane was 11.8 years old and had a clean safety record.

Honestly if someone published a story that it was safe without confirming, they need a kicking for the anguish that will have caused those with loved ones on board.

Echos of the Air France aircraft loss - there clearly is not enough info being broadcast from the aircraft and it's time they fixed it.

North Korea nearly hit a Chinese airliner with a surface to air missile last week.

Supposedly an accident.

The early reports stated that the AC lost radar contact at "cruising altitude".

The weather reports state no T/storms or anything unusual in the area.

No distress signals were transmitted.

If the flight had indeed landed at a diversion airport it would surely be standard procedure to inform air traffic control that they were heading there.

The whole thing seems a bit odd, with all kinds of conflicting information and speculation, and at this stage it's sounding a lot like the Air France flight that stalled at high altitude, and went down over the Atlantic a few years ago,

The plane lost communication two hours into the flight in Vietnam's airspace at 1:20 a.m. (18:20 GMT Friday), China's official Xinhua News Agency said. Vietnamese website VN Express said a Vietnamese search and rescue official reported that signals from the plane were detected about 120 nautical miles (140 miles; 225 kilometers) southwest of Vietnam's southernmost Ca Mau province.
