Big Republican donors who have funded presidential candidates in the past are skeptical of Trump. They do not believe he can win so they are not contributing. In the last cycle at this time Romney had over 70 million in the war chest because there was genuine optimism about his ablity to win. Maybe his campaign song should be 'I've got plenty of nuthin'.

True. But I have a nephew and his wife, early 30s, who are Bernie people but say they will vote for Trump or not at all rather than Hillary. They are not stupid people, and they are not "political" people normally, but they do not see the implications for themselves or their kids of a Trump in office, a Trump Supreme Court, etc.
Father and Uncle fighting mightly to turn them around, and it is altogether possible we might, so Bernie people coming to Hillary is still in the offing.
