He was self-funding for a while during the primaries. In the general election he is receiving money from individuals and corporate donors. The point is, Hillary Clinton wants to overturn Citizens United so that corporations are not afforded the same rights as individuals funding politicians. The Republican party and Donald Trump have yet to say anything about Citizens United. Citizens United can only be overturned by a Supreme Court who rule that it is illegal and it is clear that a Supreme Court packed with conservatives by Donald Trump will do nothing to overturn it.

"Dozens".

Not even consequential. As delegates they had some sway. Between now and November they are merely talking heads.

The risk of having an idiot like Trump in charge will be enough to make most of Bernie's supporters vote Democrat.

Plus it's more important that they vote out Republican senators and congresspersons, otherwise it's not going to make a lot of difference domestically anyway.

All the Republicans could do was shout "The sky is falling" and ""Fuck Hillary" for an entire week.

The Democrats have rightfully been more positive, more accurate and more truthful.

I'm not too convinced, I think the polls say that 70% of us adults think that the country in headed in the wrong direction. All this mutual back slapping could put people off.

Conventions play to the delgates in the hall and to the people at home. The strategy is to try and win some undecided votes, at least as many as Obama won over in 08. By hammering away at Trump's highly questionable temperment and lack of experience and emphasizing Clinton's experience and steadiness they hope to make this argument. Trump supporters will react negatively to everything, as longway does but independents are still making up their minds. I acknowledge that this is a very steep uphill climb for Clinton but her strength among key demographic groups may be enough to give her a victory. No matter who wins the country will be divided and in a state of gridlock for several more years.
