It will all boil down to whether the voters like a tough, no holds barred debater, or a repeat of what they have heard for the last 50 years from politicians. It would be a tough bet to place in Las Vegas as to who will win that debate when, and if, it happens.

I concur - sloganeering & gainsaying are not debating, and loving everything is not really a rational basis for the development of coherent policies. The Donald's nomination as the Republican candidate is not a certainty, even if he does win the most delegates. The RNC will still have to ratify it, and that is by no means a rubber stamp exercise. He could end up running as an independent, which would merely result in the Republican vote being split in the general election.
