Hillary assassination attempt in Israel- Cover Up?

I became aware of this some two days ago- it was doing the rounds of the alternative, not mainstream media. So I thought I'd wait, for some 'official' comment, or even MS Media response. The silence is deafening.

Israeli radio and Reuters broke the story then went mysteriously silent, an assassination attempt inside Israel, on Secretary of State Clinton.
Soon afterward, Iran’s national network, al Alam went public with a translated version which is being boycotted by news services.

Israeli radio broke the story Sunday night, midnight, but never mentioned it again. This has been confirmed by sources inside Israel
The real story as we have been able to learn is this; About 16 hours ago, Secretary Clintons convoy, traveling from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, was attacked. There would have been a minimum of 3 to 5 vehicles, with Clinton probably traveling in a bulletproofed Chevy Tahoe or Israel built Toyota Land Cruiser.

Why is there no official response whatsoever, and a total media blackout? There is on the one hand no official denial that such an incident took place, neither any official acknowledgement of the incident (followed by the standard 'blame Iran' response). Very peculiar- because an assassination attempt was reported on both Israeli radio and the very mainstream Reuters- so why hasn't Reuters refuted it, or even followed up on it's own report?

The particular linked article goes on to speculate it was a Mossad false flag operation, along with the Bulgarian tourist bus job (then again Veterans Today blames Mossad for everything .). This across the board silence, and blatant ignoring of the initial reports, is pretty suspicious though.

She travels with a lot of press, and other straphangers. I think an attempt, or even a shot fired at the convoy, would be nigh impossible to cover up. Report was probably wishful thinking on someone's part.
