    Political Hypocrisy

Go at it, from any side.

I just found this newsbite a real plum. The Dems reckon you don't need a photo ID or SIN to vote, but you sure do to attend a Michelle Obama book signing. WTF? Here, Soros media matters thinks the Conservatives don't understand:

Some in the conservative media are comparing voter ID laws to a supposed photo ID requirement for First Lady Michelle Obama's upcoming book signing to accuse the Obama administration of hypocrisy. However, such a comparison is invalid, because while people have a constitutional right to vote, they do not have a constitutional right to meet with the first lady.
On May 30, the blog Obama Foodorama reported that Michelle Obama will appear at a Washington, D.C. Barnes & Noble on June 12 to sign copies of her new book, American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America. Obama Foodorama further reported that those wishing to attend the event will have to purchase a copy of the first lady's book and "submit their social security number and show an official photo ID (driver's license, passport) to a Secret Service agent" in advance of the signing.

End of story. Next the NRA will be saying that people have a right to turn up carrying concealed weapons.

It's not end of story. The average citizen knows how this looks.

It appears the First Lady and her gang are very concerned about their personal welfare and security but they don't give a shit about the welfare or security of the nation nor do they give a shit whether the value or the worth of a citizen's vote is diluted by those who are willing to cheat. It appears the First Lady and her gang insure their position but they don't insure yours. The First Lady and her gang are out for themselves. I don't think that's the kind of message public officials should convey.

It's just another reason citizens will walk in the rain to vote this November.

On a side note, I'm reminded of the "don't taze me, bro" guy who believed he had a right to disrupt the Kerry rally. He didn't have a right because it was not a public affair. Kerry paid to rent the room. Or as Reagan said, "I paid for this microphone."

Is there no finer example of political hypocrisy than this Frank Lautenberg who gave a disgraceful speech on the Senate floor, in which he accused Charles and David Koch of attempting to “subvert the upcoming election”.
So today on the Senate floor I am going to disclose the identities of a couple of people who are among the biggest sources of secret money. I am going to disclose where their money comes from. Here on this placard we see the Koch brothers, David and Charles Koch. They are the powerhouses in this movement to take away the ability of the American people to decide how they vote and who gets into office.
What? “[A] movement to take away the ability of the American people to decide how they vote and who gets into office?”

This fool called for a boycott of consumer products manufactured by Koch Industries, which he identified by name (Brawny paper towels, Dixie cups, etc.) It turned out that Lautenberg was asking for a boycott of his own constituents!

Apparently embarrassed by that revelation, Lautenberg and his allies are now backtracking feverishly, denying that Lautenberg called for a boycott of Koch Industries. But that leaves us with a puzzle: if Lautenberg wasn’t suggesting that his listeners ought not buy consumer products made by Koch Industries, then why did he list them, and describe them as “a source of revenue for the Koch brothers”?

    Source

Heh...Lautenberg is just like Obama, where his backers are desperately trying to limit the damage from the Manchurian Moonbat's “you didn’t build it". It ain't gonna happen...
