Diving in Patong Beach, Phuket

Has anyone went Scuba diving in Patong beach? Can you recommend a good place to go with? I realize there are many to chose from, but if you have one that you may have went with.

Do they still go scuba in the rainy season (specifically August?)

can go scuba, vis is so so.

i assume you mean a company from patong beach and not actually diving at patong beach, of which there would be nothing to see.

cannot remember which companies - but they are all much of the muchness really. IME

Yeah, I won't be diving in Patong..that would be stupid Fool! I'm looking for a dive shop that specializes in dives in Phuket. I guess I'll google it, but if anyone has any rec's, then appreciated.

They will try to go diving in August, but it probably won't be great.

I think the dive experience depends a lot on who the dive masters are; something you can't really know in advance. Where ever you book, ask to see what the boat looks like in advance. Might also be a good idea to have a look at the rental gear. That tells a lot about a company.
