    The stoned crab pub

Its built on the land where dons cafe was on Sai Yuan rd Rawai
Very popular with single male expats, has about 10 TV's for watching sports, good range of beers including Lao, also ciders and all types of spirits
Excellent range of Thai and western food at reasonable prices
Worth a try if you are in the area and it has plenty of parking avaliable for customers

Don battles was a really nice person, he put on all you can eat buffets for about 300 baht plus drinks
One of his major problems in my opinion was the balloon chasers, as soon as the buffet started they would rush to the front of the line and load their plate up and come back once or twice more and do it again, only buying one small beer all night
He shifted to Chang Mai and had a fish farm last i heard, i hope it was successful, he deserves it

The stoned crab pub is doing well with mainly male expat customers for breakfast when we go there, basically the same setup as the Aussie bar on Bangla road
They are short of staff at present same as most places when the high season starts, everyone wants staff that speak good English which are hard to find and they get good offers from other businesses, only way to keep good staff is to pay them well all the year round, a good short order cook who can cook both Thai and western food is essential as well when catering for expat/Thai couples which no business is catering for at present

Gone down-hill since the American couple that started the place sold to an Aussie bloke. Food isn't as good and there are lady-boy bar tenders.

Foods OK in my opinion compared to other businesses in the area but their Thai food is expensive compared to other restaurants in the area
We only go there for breakfast and have not lady boys serving at that time, anyway what's wrong with having lady boy bar tenders they usually speak good English??
