Pad Thai Restaurants in Pattaya

As I haven't had Pad Thai for a couple of years, not sure why as I quite like it, I went off to one of our local Pad Thai restaurants for lunch.

This one is on Soi Thepprasit, if your coming from Sukhimvit road it is near the end of the road on the left hand side, ie maybe 100 meters from the Jomtien junction, it is next door to a few other ramshackle shophouses that have the front to call themselves Thai restaurants, pretty sure you are supposed to sit in them to eat your Pad Thai as the Pad Thai place only has 2 tables and maybe 4 chairs, so welcome to Hi So Pad Thai, yep, thats what it is called.



The Pad Thai here is pretty good, think they all cost 40baht so really not worth making yourself at home, unless of course your not in Thailand.

I always forget this dish in Thailand, probably because it's a Thai restaurant staple in the UK.

Pad se-ewe is also a favourite of mine. Thing is, with pad Thai, I tend to drown it in prik-bao, prik nam pla, and lime juice.

I like pad thai until I stumble upon one of those offensive dried shrimps (kung haeng)..they really do know how to fuck a good dish up, these people.

Naklua Soi 27 on the corner there is a very good Thai restaurant and they have a kart that does Pad Thai, the bloke that does it makes a right old show of it, but it's very good and he does a lot of business. Nice place to eat if your up that way, it's over the road from Soi 18 where Leos Blues Bar is.
